Tahrir Square and wishes on a Birthday Cake

In my opinion, every time I see pictures of people amassed in or around Tahrir Square in Egypt, for some reason it looks to me like a Birthday Cake. I envision the voice of the reporter making a wish.  The wish, however, is a strange one due to the fact it comes in the form of manipulative propaganda, an agenda.

The wish first came to my attention when Pres. Mubarak and some of his family members were not sentenced to death after their trial in  Cairo.  The crowd amassed in Tahrir Square and the voice over of the reporter said they were angry Mubarak and others were not sentenced to death. To his credit, the moderator of the show, Don Lemon, asked the reporter how he knew that was the case. By his question,  Mr. Lemon implied that the amassed crowd could be relieved the death sentence was not imposed. In other words, how can the reporter say a group of people milling around Tahrir Square were protesting the lack of death sentences for Pres. Mubarak and his family members. I forgot what the response was from the reporter but the scenario has remained with me.

Since that incidence, I have seen the camera  focused down on the  amassed crowd at different times  hearing the voice of the reporter saying all manner of things like; the people are supporters of Mubarak; they are supporters or not supporters of Pres. Mohamed Morsi; they are angry at what they consider a power grab by Morsi. And now with that same long shot down into the crowd, the voice is telling us the people are angry that the new constitution does not deal with womens’ rights, human rights, sectarian differences etc., etc., etc., and since it was written by The Muslin Brotherhood, it is un-democratic, un-constitional etc., etc., etc.,

Legend has it, when you make a wish upon a Birthday Cake, you have to blow all of the candles out for the wish to come true. My wife use to make what I am saying much simpler, "There's a fly in the milk somewhere".

There are always dirty dishes in my little kitchen sink

It puzzles me why UN Secretary Dr. Susan Rice does not say she does not want to be considered for U.S. Secretary of State. I am puzzled why she would have meetings with people who have been persistent in their disdain for her regarding issues with the Benghazi incidents.
====================================
Dr. Rice and Sec. Colin Powell are still scratching their heads as to who orchestrated the mis-information they were asked to dissimulate to the public thereby putting a stain on their reputations. Dr. Rice  maybe co-operating with members of the GOP due to the fact she is angry and also wants to find the identity of the person who “sat her up”. To her credit, I note Dr. Rice does not have the reputation of being a shrinking violet.
=====================================
In my opinion, a Golden Egg Award goes to  Rachel Maddow for her presentation last Tuesday evening. The dialog between Rachel and hostess Andrea Mitchell was a feast for this political junkie.  They were at the top of their game sporting their theories as to why they think the GOP will not confirm Dr. Rice as U.S. Secretary of State.
=====================================
Watching politics unfold in Washington has become as interesting(?) as witnessing  a jury court room scene i.e., the Obama Administration being the  Prosecuting Attorney and the GOP being a lying, manipulative Defense Attorney who will say anything to get his scum-bag client free of all charges. He is good! He can make some jury members believe Mary married the boy who cried wolf and gave birth to a little lamb, Snow White and three little pigs.  (Listeners to Fox News and AM radio will understand my crazy metaphor.)

Who’s minding the store?

I am going to modify a story I heard long ago while  growing up in Washington, D.C. and when store owners and their families were living above the store:

While holding his weeping wifes’ hand, the aging immigrant store owner lie  on his dying bed calling out the names of  his five  children  as each answers in turn, “Yes, Papa, I’m here.” And when  he ask them in harsh tones, “Den whose minding der store?” they answer in unison, “Obama!”  His wife gently pats his hands as he takes his last dying breaths, “Obama," she says, "Obama is minding the store.”

In my opinion, the ‘powers that be’ holding dual citizenships and financial interests in other countries are pulling out all of the stops  to get the President to take his eyes off the prize of putting America first. As the old folks use to say, “Dey wants to pull him thither and yon.”

Fighting for the dignity of my Ancestors,
God bless Bill Gates, WPFW, C-SPAN and the spirits of the unborn for the help,

Who's Minding the Store?

By Tom Davis
Excerpt:
I would bet my last dollar that Obama is aiming higher than the presidency of the United States of America. How do madmen think? Big and unreasonably. Of a certainty, Obama has henchmen and women in the United States Senate who will follow his lead in any effort to "take over" the United States. Harry Reid is clinically a nutcase, Schumer and Durbin are certifiably demagogues.
