Democrats adorning suspicious looking halos

I don’t know if they begged, stole or borrowed them but to me they sure look funny encircling their heads.

When they come out speaking on the floor of the House or Senate, I make a sign of the cross and tune them out.

These Democrats are the people who censured their most senior member, Rep. Charlie Rangel, and who voted for expansions of the Prison Industrial Complex and who voted against the passing of the Civil Rights Bill of 1965.

And so it is, the Democrats are voting against a Constitutional Amendment that would put a lid on U.S. spending habits. Voting against something that would be giving my children and grand-children something to fight them with in the future; a lid on spending that would make all members of Congress think twice about starting another war somewhere or giving our money away helping other countries build or re-build their infrastructures etc.,

In my opinion, Republicans were helpless, as were many others, when “W” Bush came into office dragging along Dick Chaney and the neo-con cabal of Haliburton. They are now determined with all their hearts, that will never happen again. They will allow nothing to stand in their way. It‘s a now or never thing with them.

Republicans alone can not snatch off those false disguises from their Democratic nemesis who are so meticulously attired in their long white robes, Bible in hand and adorned with halos they begged, stole or borrowed as they often do in times like these. They are now perceived by many as being false prophets!

A telephone call this morning

“Mr. BB” the voice said, “Can you please tell me what is going on between the Republicans and Democrats?”

This was my barber on the other end of the line between customers. He does that ever so often. Doesn’t bother me. Helps make my day.
- In my opinion, it basically boils down to having a spoiled child who you have given everything he wants.

- What do you mean, Mr. BB?

- I mean there comes a time when you have to put your foot down. There comes a time when you have to tell him you will not give him anymore money until he learns how to control his spending. You tell him he can barely pay the bills he’s already got! You have to tell him absolutely no more money until he accepts some responsibilities for his over spending sprees by buying things he feels he absolutely must have regardless of the cost. Until then, he will not get another damn dime from you. Not one red cent. Nada!

- Uh, yes.

- As far as the debates between the Republicans and Democrats are concerned, the Republicans want a Constitutional Amendment saying you can not spend more money than you have or spend more money than you are earning.

- But that’s common sense.

- You would think so, wouldn't you, but it would mean more money coming in for the banks. They don’t want a Constitutional Amendment putting restraints on them.

- Uh, yes. Tell me Mr. BB, are you going to vote for Pres. Obama at the next election?

- Now that’s personal.

- Gotta go now. A customer just walked in. "Have a seat, Mr. Dorsey." (Click)

As always,
BB

The un-sinkable John Boehner

I’ll color him ‘Slugger!', a person always making efforts for perfection, or maybe, “The little engine that could“.

It is my understanding Republican Rep. Boehner is burning the mid-night oil creating yet another script for performances at the Kabuki Theater in Washington, D.C. addressing the debt ceiling saga, and I love it!

It’s that “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again” thing.

First it was the “Cut, Cap and Balance” script. Next it was “The Boehner two-step” and now, with not so hushed anticipation, I await the premier of his newest opus. No shit! I like this mans’ tenacity! He has gotten my attention and respect. He’s got guts! Kudos!

Pres. Obama: “I did it my way”

You can not help but respect a man who wants to do it his way. There is a sense of adventurism and bravado and brave new world energies one can feel emitting from such a man. Long story short, he is likeable.

In many of my experiences in life, there is one thing such a man does not do: He does not listen. He may hear but he does not listen. I suspect he has to develop his own philosophies of life with wisdom he can live with.

-Oh, those pesty people on the professional left and those gosh-darn bloggers in their mothers’ basement.

Kryptonite for Banksters (Update)

If the Republican sponsored “Cap, Cut and Balance” bill passed last week and was signed into law by the President, I do not think the rating agencies of Moody and Standard and Poor would downgrade the credit of America, as threatened.

At best, the institutions would have given their blessings if not for their own interests and survival.

In my opinion, the "Cap, Cut and Balance" bill offered optimism everybody could understand. Once understood, it would get a heroes’ welcome as it parades down Main Street in states and cities throughout the land: “Ding, dong, the Banksters are dead!” Long live America.

White House Threatens Veto Of 'Cut, Cap, Balance' Bill; GOP Plows Ahead
Excerpt:
Democrats in the White House have what they think is just as creative a name for the bill — Duck, Dodge and Dismantle.

And those same Obama officials vow that Presidenht Obama will veto the legislation if it were to reach his desk.

(Update)
Obama's Ambush on Entitlements
By MICHAEL HUDSON
Excerpt:
This is what is happening today. Instead of enjoying what the Progressive Era anticipated – an evolution into socialism, with government providing basic infrastructure and other needs on a subsidized basis – we are seeing a lapse back into neo-feudalism. The difference, of course, is that this time around society is not controlled by military grabbers of the land. Finance today achieves what military force did in times past. Instead of being tied to the land as under feudalism, families today may live wherever they want – as long as they take on a lifetime of debt to pay the mortgage on whatever home they buy.

And
And instead of society paying land rent and tribute to conquerors, we pay the bankers. Just as access to the land was a precondition for families to feed themselves under feudalism, one needs access to credit, to water, medical care, pensions or Social Security and other basic needs today – and must pay interest, fees and monopoly rent to the neo-feudal oligarchy that is now making its deft move from the United States to Ireland and Greece.

And
But of course, it is all about the banks. Wall Street knows that to get sufficient Congressional votes to roll back the New Deal, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, a Democratic president needs to be in office. A Democratic Congress would block any Republican president trying to make the kind of cuts that Obama is sponsoring. But Congressional Democratic opposition is paralyzehttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifd when President Obama himself – the liberal president par excellence, America’s Tony Blair – acts as cheerleader for cutting back entitlements and other social spending.
