Romney sinking ship attracting barnacles

In my opinion, the ship of Presidential candidate Mitt Romney began to sink months ago with little fanfare and public concerns except from political junkies like myself. What is unusual is the fact his ship is attracting barnacles. Before reaching its final resting place at the bottom of the ocean, barnacles are hastening to attach themselves to his junket and that phenomenon has attracted the broader attention of the public.

Yesterday in an op-ed piece in the Washington Post, we learned Mr. Romney is a bully of the high school variety. All Americans who attended high school remember those guys and have lasting impressions of their various antics. Most of us have vivid memories of who their close friends were and how they conducted themselves in the classroom, during change of class and in the cafeteria. We remember the stories about them, some true and some not so true but in all cases they were about anti-social behavior. For most of us, our impressions of the high school bully has not change. We remember them as people who struck fear in us and people we wanted to avoid at all cost. I think a bully is a sadist ever searching for willing masochists. It is a life style not desirous to many of us.

Later in life, we would move away from a neighbor who was a bully, we would change jobs to avoid a bully and we would do our best to protect ourselves and our family members from their tentacles.
Today, Pres. Obama accused his bully opponent Mitt Romney of having etch-a-sketch moments. It would take an individual from a discipline other than my own to dissect and classify the mental apparatus of a bully desirous to become President of the United States of America. One who says he does not even remembers his deep and life altering offending antics directed towards a fellow human being. This is serious stuff!

And so it is, Mr. Romney now has a bigger challenge then rescuing his sinking ship; he now has to ward off the onslaught of barnacles attaching themselves to his ship. I personally believe there is both the absence of will and intellect to do either. I wish him well.

As always,

Mitt Romney’s prep school classmates recall pranks, but also troubling incidents By Jason Horowitz, Published: May 10 Excerpt: “He can’t look like that. That’s wrong. Just look at him!” an incensed Romney told Matthew Friedemann, his close friend in the Stevens Hall dorm, according to Friedemann’s recollection.

And

A few days later, Friedemann entered Stevens Hall off the school’s collegiate quad to find Romney marching out of his own room ahead of a prep school posse shouting about their plan to cut Lauber’s hair. Friedemann followed them to a nearby room where they came upon Lauber, tackled him and pinned him to the ground. As Lauber, his eyes filling with tears, screamed for help, Romney repeatedly clipped his hair with a pair of scissors.
