Mr. Alvin Greene, an enigma

An enigma is a type of riddle generally expressed in metaphorical or allegorical language that requires ingenuity and careful thinking for its solution.

If the situation is real and Mr. Greene is a genuine contender for becoming a U.S. Senator from South Caroline, the situation is brilliant. If, for whatever reason, the situation is not genuine, it is still brilliant!

I am mindful of my 100% attention to the Balloon Boy story. This one brings back memories. Kudos to Mr. Greene. I’m having a ball!

Appreciations begin to flow for Obama?

The diary of Socratic Method is a first for me reading a personal account of how Pres. Obamas’ seeds are growing.

In my opinion, this heart warming diary says nice things about the diarist and his family in contemporary America.

In the diary, many elements of a good, interesting and well written autobiography have been expressed in miniature. I wish him and his family well.

My Son Got A Job From The Stimulus.
by Socratic Method
Excerpt:
The only saving grace was that this year, since my son was unemployed, his wife got back pretty much everything she paid in federal taxes. My daughter in law came in, waving the returns and laughing and singing Obama's praises for the tax relief. I couldn't help but agree. They'd never recieved anything as large as that before. It helped keep the rent payed and the bills at bay.

Irony: 2010 Mid-term head scratchers

When manipulators have the upper hand, like a moth to the flame, they always find a way in producing some irony which, I am sure, amuses them to no end.

I see an irony in friendless *Blanch Lincoln winning the Democratic nomination to run against Republican John Boozman and homeless **Alvin Green winning the nomination to run against Republican Senator Jim DeMint in November.

We are all familiar with the saga of Ms. Lincoln. The saga of homeless Mr. Green, an African-American, is seeking a seat in the U.S. Senate. A Senate seat like African-American Sen. Roland Burris has. A U.S. Senate seat like African-American Roland Burris had to threaten with a law suite to get. A Senate seat like that.

In my opinion, the irony is both Ms. Lincoln and Mr. Green winning against impossible odds only to come face to face with equally impossible odds. As they would say on the street, "I feel you, man".

The fix is in and Mainstream Media is $alivating big time! We are now paused to enter Mainstream Media’s heaven. Lights, camera, Action!

By the way, Mainstream Media has found a way to advance its stories with the extra bonus of keeping financial cost down by shamelessly soliciting and overtly begging Tweeters and the likes to contribute to their carefully structured stories. A win-win situation for them. I am mindful of the new song, “We own the world”. Irony.
As always,

There is NO way she wins in November and everyone knows it.  It's time to manage our resources and let this seat go.
Congratulate her on her win and let her march off into the meat grinder that will be November.

** Alvin Greene UPSET: Mystery Man Stuns In South Carolina Senate Primary
SEANNA ADCOX
Excerpt:
COLUMBIA, S.C. — An unemployed military veteran who raised no funds and put up no campaign website shocked South Carolina's Democratic Party leadership by capturing the nomination Tuesday to face Republican U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint in November.

And
Late Tuesday, stunned Democratic leaders in South Carolina struggled to comprehend how the little-seen candidate upstaged Rawl, a moderate Southern Democrat they viewed as their far stronger bet against DeMint. Rawl's lengthy resume lists four past state House terms and former posts as prosecutor, circuit court judge and more.

“Helen Thomas retiring effectively immediately”

During the latter days of my career and after dealing with the public for many years, every once in a while I would hear people say, “You’ll know when it’s time for you to retire.”

Kudos to the venerable Ms. Helen Thomas! She knows her time has come and I sincerely hope it is as painless as the experiences of many before her. I hope she see it as a re-birth i.e., being born again but this time with lots of wisdom.

Now Ms. Thomas can go through the maturation periods of old age; old age toddler, old age early adolescence and especially the old age period of saying and doing what you want to say and do.

In retirement, Ms. Thomas will inventory her own unique treasure chest of life’s experiences and make decisions regarding various ways in which to share them, hopefully before much later manifestations of old age come on stage.

In my opinion, and at this time in world history, the decision of 89 year old Ms. Thomas to retire could not have happened to a better person and at a better time. I most sincerely wish her well. We need her!

Ms. Thomas knows exactly where many of our political bodies are buried and recently giving us but a teaser by saying that the occupiers of Israel should return to their ports of origin. My antennae periscoped; “Ms. Thomas! Helen? my word! Is that you??” I am mindful of what I always say, “American heroes come from the most un-expected places!”

As always,
