Georgia in the Balkans: Russia’s problem or America’s? (Update #2)

Funny how I know more in two days about the problems in Georgia than I know about Darfur.

From what I understand, Georgia broke away from Russia to become a stand alone country. They want to be recognized as a country distinct from Russia and have aspirations to become a UN Member. They have made an application for membership which is on-hold. Meanwhile, a state in the country, Ossetia, has no interest in becoming a UN Member and wants to stay loyal to Russia.

The President of Georgia, Pres. Saakashvili, says, “No, no, no not by my chinny chin chin! You are a part of our country now and if you don’t do what I say, I will huff and puff and blow your house down.” and little Osesstia said, “Oh, yeah? Let’s see you try it, Sak-kass! You Coward! You bully! Sissy!” and so Pres. Saakashvili said, “I’ll show you! Take THAT!” as he moves his army tank into the town square of Ossetia which also happens to be the entire state, and Russia quite calmly said, “Hold everything, Partnuh. Why don’t you pick on somebody your own size? Now you take THIS!!” and America said, “GOLLY GEE! Russia is picking on poor little Georgia! We gotta do something! Condi….Condi!!!”

I do not know why I reduce some problems down to an infantile level but hey, that’s the kind of guy I am and it is by no means a put-down. I have to reduce situations to my level of understanding. Maybe I am coming from my teaching training and experiences. So be it. I found it I can make myself understand the situation, I can more appropriately relate it to others.

I note a conversation a correspondent had with Pres. Saakashvili and anyone in America hearing his diatribes would have concerns as to his abilities to telling truths. There maybe a cultural thing with him but I have, lamentably, heard used car salesmen talk before. Finally, Kudos to CNN-Live and BBC-World for superb reporting. My observations continue to detect biases in the tone of some commentators on CNN-Live.

(Update) Russia struck before the propagandist could get in place. They are in place now along with the people who do not know what they are talking about, the obstructionist and the people who just want to be noticed by any means necessary pandering all manner of credentials. You never hear from the teacher assistant, the court stenographer, the Ex. Senate page, the office gossip. Enjoy!
(Update 2) Churkin, who spoke at the UN after the Security Council failed for the third consecutive day to agree on a position on the fighting, said Georgia's military actions had ``all the elements of genocide and war crimes.''

The word “genocide” is used. This is a little confusing to me but I heard the Russians are considered to be of the Mongoloid race tho I have not heard that in a very long time. I don’t think the Romanoffs were Mongoloid and for all I know, that maybe a part of the problem. I thought the Romanoffs were Jewish judging from a family portrait I saw of them. They had Yamahas (SP) on their heads.

I'm fine, thank you, and you?

I become a bit concerned reading this comment to a *post (Backed away from the computer, screaming, running out of the room in a cold sweat gasping for air) and thought I would calmly voice my opinion. The commenter speaks:

This was posted by a blogger on the BBC website. I laughed it off at first, but am slowly beginning to wonder... What if...? What do y'all think?

"I do find it interesting that Obama has not announced his VP before the Olympics, and I think we can be sure that he will not announce whoever that might be during the Olympics; nor, without overshadowing Hillary deliberately, can he announce his VP on the conference Tuesday, so it looks like the VP will be announced on the night. Or has the VP just been announced and we haven't noticed it: not Hillary, but Bill.

Bill is scheduled to speak on the night of the VP nomination. Imagine, for a moment, Obama coming out of the wings just before Bill is due to speak and saying, 'I want to say something about the nomination for VP. As you all know that person ought to have foreign policy experience and economic competency; be someone who I can trust for advice, and who is prepared to disagree with me; but who shares a common vision for the future. Bill has graciously accepted that role for the next four years'.

It would, in an instant, change everything. The Republicans would have their single biggest strength neutralised and be caught unprepared; the Democrats could unite around Barack and Bill. The south would comprehensively be put into play, as well as the southwest. Pennsylvania, Michigan, et al, would all safely be in the Democrat column.

Imagine the amount of cardiac arrests on Wednesday, 27th. Frantic 911 calls. Emergency rooms turning people away. Instantly grieving families and relatives. Sen. Obama should be kind and announce his VP soon. Quite soon, in my opinion. Too many have worked on his behalf far too long to be party to this game. Serious! If he would just let us know it would not be Bill or Hillary.....Just a little sign, maybe.....Anything, Dammnit!

John Edward not de-synthesized. Thank God!

Mainstream Media (MSM) has for decades tried to de-synthesize the American public. MSM will come down hard on anyone of its citizens who have not succumbed to its basic foundation of de-synthesizing so we would become immune to its various atrocities.

MSM want us to join them in glorifying John Manson as a folk hero and of late, not see the coffins of American troops either being returned home or at their burial sites at Arlington Cemetery. We are bombarded with every story possible with a homosexual edge and, alas, how utterly horrible it is when a married man succumbs to the powerful call of nature to have sex with a woman not his wife.

It is my feelings regarding out of marriage relationships that germinates this post. It is without shame I encourage my younger male relatives to be discreet womanizer. In my opinion, one of the saddest men in the world is the one who loses his wife and does not have a back-up, especially the product of a childless marriage. Further, as in some countries, losing your only wife and being stuck raising your children, going out trying to create another relationship - which takes time- and getting over the grief of your wife has to be a horrible experience.

Needles to say at this point I approve of multiple females for a man as do some other countries and a particular religious sect in this country. This is not to say a woman is expendable but only to say, in my opinion, it is not natural to expect a man to have just one woman. When his own wife gets sick and dies, he should have other wives and children to take care of him and help him to continue realistically look life in the eye.

It is my further opinion Mr. Edwards should speak at the Democratic Convention. I note on a particular influential web site Mr. Edwards is both respected and adored. This should not be ignored. This should not be ignored especially by the Democrats due to the fact they should be mindful of the Medal of Honor awarded to George Tenet, Paul Bremer and Tommy Franks plus an honorable job given to Carl Rove on Fox television. Less not forget turning the Iraqi army over to Gen. Petraeus and blatant defiance of court orders etc., etc., and etc.,

In summary, I do not have a problem with John Edwards being de-synthesized. None what-so-ever! To be honest, I envy him. your move, Ms. Gloria Steinem. Things happen. Agree?

Putt...Putt....ALLAGAZAM! Ossetia!!

Before Congress gets it britches all twisted with lobbyists and what Russia is doing, now maybe a good time to be reminded what we are doing or supposed to be doing.
*Excerpts from Counterpunch.Com article

Over the past 60 years, U.S. military leaders often compounded their bad advice by presenting overly optimistic reports on our progress in winning these wars. The most famous example of this was Westmoreland's address to a joint session of Congress in 1967, when he actually assured the legislators and the American public that there was light at the end of the tunnel in South Vietnam.

And
The mistakes of the military leaders in Iraq, from Gen. Tommy Franks onward, have been legendary.

And
Moreover, by listening to our military commanders, the Bush administration sent too few troops to Iraq and, by ignoring the warning signs of the developing insurgency and civil war in that country, proclaimed mission accomplished more than five years ago.

-Now, now stop fretting now, I know you care about whose running this war (Not!) and you are going to give the escalation into Afghanistan some serious thought. That‘s mighty nice of you. You know, you are really not the SOB everybody says you are. Just plain folks, you are. Down to earth, too.

In my opinion, what the McCain campaign is doing and what the Clinton campaign did to the viability of Sen. Obama worries me. A Democratic Congress will be his Achilles’ Heel and God help us all if Nancy Pelosi remains Speaker of the House! I have not witnessed such incompetence in every sector of our society in my life.

There is an irony going around suggesting President Bush is/was the “good guy” with varied angles to the Svengali suggestion. I must admit there is some validity to the position and now we have to re-interpret the famous line of President Truman, “The buck stops here”. So far, Bush, McCain and Obama have made statements regarding our new “crisis”, Ossetia. In my opinion, Ossetia is destine to become another Kosovo and Kurkuk. More of our treasury flying out the window along with military casualties. A fuckin’ shame!!

Democratic Convention : “Julius Caesar” template

Bill Clinton to Announce Obama VP Pick

Former President Clinton will have a role at the Democratic convention in Denver later this month.
Democratic officials said Thursday that Clinton will give a speech on the third night of the convention, before an address by the as-yet-to-be-named running mate for Barack Obama, the party's likely presidential nominee. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity before the details.

- (Bill Clinton) I come not to bury Obama and his soon to be announced (Mother fuckin’) Vice President, but first let me say one thing…….

To members of the Obama campaign I caution dancing on the head of a pin is risky business. It can be done, however, but it is risky none the less and one should do it with no less than a preview of a written text by Ex. President Clinton.

To humiliate Ex. President Clinton by inviting him to speak at the convention when he can not publicly admit Sen. Obama would make a good President may not be the gesture of unifying the party as one would hope. To date, here is what I am hearing: Hillary speaking at the convention; a parade in HER honor and other activities; (Will Chelsia and her grand-mother be waving from an open car in the parade?) Bill speaking at the convention and the presence of delegates who feel Hillary was cheated out of the nomination to a brilliant, Black man. One could ask, “Precisely who and what is the convention for?” What happened to the pride once touted the convention is being held on the forty fifth anniversary of MLK’s speech? Duh!

The metaphor of having this entire drama taking place in the modern version of a Roman coliseum is a true testament to Shakespeare’s abilities to understand human behaviors and especially the nefarious ones. Obama, my friend, beware!

Are Bloggers Keeping America afloat?

The Viet Nam war movement took years to culminate. There wasno internet nor blogosphere. We can not wait that long nor do we have to with our new communication inventions. Selected forms of the Mainstream Media are destroying this country and there are those of us who will not let that happen. There are those of us committed to wrestling America from the cloches of this damnation and put it back on track to grow as a viable and respected country once again. The blogosphere has had huge successes identifying and chasing the bullies off the playground and now we have to deal with a crazy, retarded nose picking oaf called Mainstream Media who also has to leave.

That oaf having to leave is based on the fact he is a problem as follows: Our terminal cancer. Our “Bump in the night”. Our “Boogeyman!” Our “Nemesis.” A person could feel those labels as a threat to ones existence and go into survival mode as most of us have. So what else are we doing about it?

There is an entity out there. A mentality called the Blogosphere and it is addressing selected sections of the Mainstream Media, the oaf, if you will. The blogosphere is telling these selected sections of Mainstream Media that in its present form, it is time to go, saying, “You are being evicted from America. At this point, we don’t give a damn where you go, just go. You are to gather up your things and move it! You‘ve had enough time to mend your crazy ways and that is not without loud protests from us. Just get the fuck out and good riddance to you, you miserable scumbag and take your Mama with you!! She raised you!”

Of the three web sites I frequent, I witness all of them busy forging very special Coffin Nails. I have witnessed the News Paper and Magazine grave yards beginning to fill up to capacity with fewer and fewer mourners. Mephistopheles never had it so good.

Comment:

“I too am upset that McCain has focused on trivializing the presidential campaingn thereby trivializing the real issues and problems facing our country. He even commented after one blasphemous ad that he thought it was funny (comparing Obama to a biblical character).
John McCain can exhibit leadership by first acting his age and exhibiting the wisdom of elders that the bible teaches us about. But that would be too much like right. So he will probably continue to muddy the waters with sensational petty attacks on Senator Obama and anyone else in his way.
I don't know how we got to this place in society where the media contributes to minimalizing the plight of our country. Where are the serious reporters and investigators. Where is the real news. I am insulted on a daily basis by what is fed to us through various mediums that are meant to inform the public. How do we make the media more accountable?”

“He inoculated himself” Was the answer.

This was the answer an FBI spokesperson gave in response to a question from the audience in reference to Bruce Ivins. The complete question: “How did he protect himself and how did he get it (anthrax) out of the office?”

This was during a press conference at the Justice Department on the Anthrax case. When the question was asked, I was awaiting a long cloak and dagger answer. Nothing. Three words, “He inoculated himself.” The other half of the question dwent unanswered which prompted me to reach into my drawer to pull out my thinking cap.

Was there a change in Dr. Ivins behavior after the injection, however many the FBI apparently knows? What was the quality control procedure in the office? Who had the responsibility? Whenever highly toxic chemicals are involved, there are usually high quality controls in place. Consider morphine in hospitals. Who signed purchase orders for the ingrediances? What does the history of his bank accounts reveal? When will we see the video tapes? During a seven year highly intensive surveillance of an individual, there has to be SOME video tapping. Was Dr. Ivins working with the government up to the end with promises of fame, fortune and anonymity getting greedy when the huge financial award was made to the other suspect? We all know what happens to individuals working for the government suddenly becoming expendable. I had sat back, waiting to hear some nice cloak and dagger stuff from this news conference. Truly a disappointment. Damn!

No significant Jewish soldiers so the war continues?

Reading a post the other night regarding the Iraq war and dead soldiers, I came across a comment asking were there any Jews serving in the army. I immediately snatch my Conspiracy turban out of the desk drawer, folded my arms, reared back in my chair and started counting the keys on my keyboard.

When I was teaching, every once in a while and during the school year, there would be a student whose family was going to Europe to stay a few months, the note from home read, and we were to assign homework and provide other learning opportunities for the student. Most of the teachers always put, “Have fun”. There were implications from the administration those students were not to fail our classes under any circumstances.

Through the years, I learned Israel has an army wherein all of its citizens have to commit for a period of time. I would also suspect those with dual citizenships to the U.S. have to comply due to the fact I understand there are some financial rewards for carrying the duel citizenship and especially if you move there.

Adjusting my turban, I wonder if the U.S. has a relationship with Israel wherein if a person serves in the Jewish army, they would get military credit here in America. Just last night, I saw an advertisement announcing a new special titled, “God’s Jewish Warriors”. I Googled Jewish Soldiers and got a museum which I would suspect, and could not confirm, has names of Jewish soldiers killed in “wars” up to the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And then I been hearing on the news the same questioning and rhetoric regarding the anthrax suspect, Bruce Ivins, as I remember hearing about the Rosenbergs and Jason Pollard with brilliant doubts raised and by the same token, not hearing much of how Pres. Bush was hackled in Beijing. And lastly, there is this swirling around the internet the public’s dissatisfaction with the bias press and most of its dummy surrogates.

-Paris?
-Yes, Mommy.
-I want you to make a TV ad.
-Yes, Mommy, about what?
-My father and your father are very angry with the McCain campaign and we want them to know that.
-What do you want me to do, Mommy? You know I’ll help, if I can.
-You can, sweetheart. Andre, you remember Andre don’t you, well he is going to be the director and I’ve asked him to meet you as soon as tomorrow. I want to get this done as soon as possible. Will tomorrow be alright?
-Sure, Mom. Talk to you later. Love, ya.
-Love you too, sweetheart. Bye.
-Bye.

(Paris won my heart in her ad. I did not know she was so attractive and so un-like Marilyn Monroe.)

Excerpt:
As a longtime public school teacher in California, I take exception to this comment, which betrays the writer's ignorance of what really obstructs progress in public education.

The diarist Toddlerbob writes convincingly regarding the scientific aspects of our flawed educational system. This is one I heard regarding our entire educational system and I learned in one of my teacher training classes paraphrased as follows:

It appears there were pressures from the top down, bottom up educational authorities. From the bottom up aspect, during the 50’s, parents were told to let the Kindergarten teachers teach the students their primary colors, shapes, left and right, East and West, reading etc., Their argument was if your individual child were knowledgeable of these facts, both the rest of the students in Kindergarten and the teacher would be at a disadvantage. We were coming out of the “one room classroom” and curriculums were being written for the separation of classes. Than, again from the bottom up, the Pre-school and head start programs were introduced and, I think also the Montessori Schools whose main and stated objective was to “socialize” students on their way to entering Kindergarten. So much for the intended plights of the Kindergarten teacher due to the fact “socializing” included knowing your colors, shapes, left from right, reading etc., for the purpose of being more “sociable”. There also became a point wherein men were put into the Kindergarten classes to teach after this group filtered into the classrooms. Imagine a bored kindergartener!

Kindergarten teachers were forced, in many cases, to go into the curriculum of the first grade teachers who complained when the students got to their classes their job was made as difficult as was the one for the kindergarten teacher whose students already knew their colors, shapes etc., and her base curriculum was thrown off and fragmented.

So the first grade teachers had, out of sheer necessity, to go into some of the second grade curriculum and so forth. Each teacher was forced to go into the curriculum of their fellow teacher. Even during our “May Day” celebrations, the dances and exercises taught by the special teacher who came around were negotiated by the various faculty members according to the maturity and curriculum of the class. The practice was later dropped altogether.

From the top down, in the meanwhile, college professors were telling high school principals and teachers certain students were not ready for certain college materials and would they please at least prepare the twelfth grade graduating students with a unit or two of thus and so. The twelfth grade teachers then had to teach classes which, in the pass, had been freshmen college courses. In that case, the eleventh grade teachers had to prepare the students for the twelfth grade classes and Wahla! The finest education America has to offer. I understand this practice started with our first college, Harvard, in 1636. (There are rich stories regarding Harvard Medical Schools and the slave trade.)

There have been many failed opportunities to adapt educational systems from other countries and most often, they are rejected. If memory serves me correctly, the educational system of China was often mentioned, and indeed also briefly by Dr. Carter G. Woodson in “The Mis-Education of the Negro, and now more recently, India has been included due to their thirty year educational mandate of producing computer literate English speaking students. In my opinion, such decisions are made in regards to how you want your country to be with meaningful short and long range preparations. Your move, Ms. Spelling. Oh, leaving so soon? Bye!
As always,
BB
P.S. There are now so many highly educated societies taking advantage of the new technologies and money while we Americans still worry about what Blacks are doing and now on the contemporary scene, “Uppidy Negroes”. There is an old saying, “If you want to keep a man in the gutter, you have to get down there and hold him”. Nobody grows. Sad

So fuckin’ tired of crying for families of our troops…

....and thoughts of more grief and crying as our troops move into Afghanistan I can only ask the Lord for strength. I am not a religious person, never have been but there are those who say you can turn to the Lord. I am embarrassed to say at this stage of my grief, I have no choice. I can not say I like it, but as I say, what are my choices? Congress? LOL? Nancy Pelosi? Any Democrats at all? Surely, you jest! I am grieving….not going crazy and it would indeed by crazy to think Nancy nor will any other of the Democrats do anything to prevent the escalation of this war. At this point, I’ll stick with the Lord.

The hope is for the troops returning home to augment Sen. Obama’s agenda for America. We bloggers, as myself, can prepare the way for them. That has been our job all along but now is the time to follow the evolving path brick road lain out before us.

In my opinion, talking to returning troops would not have the layers of difficulties communicating to the different mind sets and agenda driving people on the internet. It seems to me there would already be a concrete level of understanding which would circumvent building up backgrounds so when we snatch a few of them to run for congress, we would not have to convince them as to how they would be making an invaluable contribution to our country. Invite one over to you’re your house and you and your family and friends be oh so polite as you do the most masterful bit of patriotism your heart can must up. Maybe have the children ending up singing, “God, bless America” as you have him signing papers to run for congress. They will be scared but that would be when your heat felt concerns will lay bare. If they need someplace to stay, get it. If their family need some social services, get help. Show them America. People know “Heart to heart” talk when they hear it. It can’t be faked!

The problem would quickly surface the DNCC, DSCC and DNC each have their criteria for backing a candidate. I am mindful Rahn Emanuel chose not to back a disabled female Iaraq honorably discharged soldier. Therein lie the rub which is also the answer why we have gotten so many shitty do-nothing, stupid Democrats to date. They are useless in their own neighborhoods. Garbage! Just food for thought. Sen. Obama’s biggest supporters would be a congress consisting mostly of ex-Iraqi soldiers. You bloggers identify them, vet them and ask us for money to support their campaign. If possible, identify the Iraqi soldiers coming up for the November election. I have seen how little as $5.00 has helped and made a difference.

And
The Savings and Loans Crisis of the 1980's was one of the biggest financial crises in US history. The insurer for savings and loans, the FSLIC became insolvent and was abolished in 1989. A new institution, the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) was established to liquidate failed financial institutions. Federal insurance of S&L deposits was transferred to the FDIC in 1989.
How the FSLIC became insolvent should serve as a warning for the present financial crisis, for some of the same errors are being repeated.

Iraq?? OOPS! Let’s try Afghanistan.

The U.S. war machine is “Johnny come lately” going to war. The opponents have had years to prepare for the war and develop their count-attack war plans. Their citizens have been appropriately indoctrinated and allies have had ample time to adhere, pledging their support in specifics.

For America, having no time to prepare for war after coming out of one and going directly into another is, in my opinion, irresponsible. That level of stupidity has not one iota of redeeming grace and the name of the targeted country should be appropriately re-named, “Waterloo 3”, with
viet Nam and Iraq being Waterloo numbers one and two respectively.

How America intends to now, five years later, go into Afghanistan, destroy what is left of its civilization and its people, sacrifice the lives of more American troops all in the name of stopping terrorism and honoring Israel’s right to exit is something that would give pause to the most inexperienced leader of a thug street gang in the most rural county or city in America with ninth and tenth grade education. It is hard to think anyone being so inapt unless they were stone, cold crazy and I wish I could somehow infuse energies into that word with a bitch slap!

There are already families dealing with the reality of one family member being killed in Iraq and another killed in Afghanistan. That fact alone has to be psychologically difficult for a family. A family member signs up to fight the war in Iraq and gets killed in Afghanistan; both wars being illegal. What a pill to swallow. Is there no shame? No decency at all?
Logically, going into Afghanistan would be fighting another war. Wars need CONGRESSIONAL approval. Wars need war plans with detailed information least of which identifying when the mission is over and the American people have seen this movie before. Too many times. Are we going to let this one go down as another viewing of the “Rocky Horror Picture Show?”

I am not so out of touch to know Congress is going to sit back and prepare to watch the movie. They are not going to do a damn thing; they know it… I know it… and they know that I know they know it! What do they care? I can’t do nothing about it. At this juncture, we therefore tell each other to fuck off and go to hell!

As the Fighting Swells in Afghanistan, So Does a Refugee Camp in Its Capital
Sunday 03 August 2008
by: Carlotta Gall, The New York Times
Excerpt:
Kabul, Afghanistan - On a piece of barren land on the western edge of this capital, a refugee camp is steadily swelling as families displaced by the heavy bombardment in southern Afghanistan arrive in batches.
The growing numbers reaching Kabul are a sign of the deepening of the conflict between NATO and American forces and the Taliban in the south and of the feeling among the population that there will be no end soon. Families who fled the fighting around their homes in Helmand Province one or two years ago and sought temporary shelter around two southern provincial capitals, Lashkar Gah and Kandahar, said they had moved to Kabul because of growing insecurity across the south.

And
His father, brother and a daughter were among those killed. "You cannot take revenge against a plane," he said. "But I will not forgive the foreigners for this crime."

Bill Clinton has regrets…..

*Bill Clinton Has Regrets on Campaign for Wife
Insists, 'I Am Not a Racist,' Despite Anger Over His S.C. Comments

By KATE SNOW and MICHAEL S. JAMES
Aug. 3, 2008 (Thanks Huffpo)

In my opinion, Ex. President Bill Clinton repeatedly droning “I’m not a racist” does not eradicate the results of somethings he said.

When one finds himself in such a position, repeatedly saying “I am not a racist” has its place and its place could be the culminating point of what should be said. In other words, “I am not a racist” should be the last thing you say due to the fact it is up the listener to make that decision. To the listener, the statement should then become the question, “Now that you heard what I’ve had to say, do you still feel I am a racist?”

However, having the statement stand along without an appropriate and sincere antecedent is, and again in my opinion, being knowingly evasive and snide. Thinking you‘re cute, comes to mind. Playing games is another.

As a matter of fact, “humor(ous)” is the way Sens. McCain and Lieberman consider a controversial ad released last week from their campaign. For some reason, I can accept that. They admit they feel the ad is humorous and I can not argue their emotions. Now if they want to add “I am not a racist” to their remark, we now have a platform for a dialog wherein they can identify the humorous elements in the ad for me. It is now and always has been “the dialog, stupid!” We are all familiar with the fact Sen. McCain can apologize with numerous examples at Google, “McCain apologies.Com”.

Being called a racist has always had been the results of what has been considered a highly charged remark or act and the disarming of that remark or act should be the show stopper before ending with the response “I am not a racist”. At that juncture, you rest your case.

Don Imus was also called a racist. Mr. Imus do not go around saying “I’m not a racist” but instead apologized to Rev. Sharpton, the girl’s basketball team, their coach, their university, the woman at the well, his dog, his chauffer and for all I know, he may still be tipping his hat apologizing to every Black person with whom he comes in contact and, most of all, he has not done it again. In my opinion, Mr. Imus can now say “I am not a racist”. He has earned the right to say it and we, the public, can weigh that remark against his apologies. I miss keeping abreast of the C&W music and performers on his show and hope he is continuing his support for Sickle Cell Anemia youths on his ranch.

the cold war's end meant a big void in the military/industrial complex. Along came Bush, Bush to plug a hole in this gap and here we are.

FLASH BACK:
I remember reading the bomb factories were closing and people were being put out of work so they turn the bomb making factories in to making fertilizer due to the fact no new equipment was need to be purchased.I think they also started making commercial foods for animals. Perina Dog Chow comes to mind. I remember my Uncle Joe telling my father they could not feed the pigs "slope" anymore but had to buy commercial food for them. WOW! Talking about flash backs!

Racism: “Reviewing the situation” (Update)

Fagin, one of the main characters in the musical “Oliver” sings the song “I’m reviewing the situation” admitting issues in his life have begun to change and he has to confront them. In the language of today, it would be called “flip-flopping” but lyricist Lionel Bart did not have such an expression at his command in the 1960’s. As a matter of fact, I do not think we even had the foot ware flip-flops at the time. If we had, perhaps the title of Fagin‘s song would be different. I leave that to the comedic area of ones imagination.

With my concerns regarding the accusations of racism identified as an infusion into the ‘08 Presidential campaign, in my opinion, a prototype is emerging. The prototype being the same ground work laid out for war against President Saddam and his country. Most importantly, there is Mainstream Media collectively drum beating calls for the war on destroying Sen. Obama’s character as did they the character of President Saddam. There are the mis-quotes, the out right lies, the “Don’t believe your lying eyes” rhetoric and the strong suspicion of manipulation of the poll numbers.

It maybe true we defenders of what we perceive as racist entities directed toward Sen. Obama are not perceived by the oligarchy through those lens. They may be looking at the Presidential race of Sen. Obama as the race of a terrorist. A race they have to win. They have to win due to the fact they, the oligarchy, have abandoned America as nation of people to simple terms of being a cash cow aiding their domination and raiding the treasury of other countries. And therefore, Sen. Obama is indeed “presumptuous” to assume he can put Humpty Dumpty back together again after all their efforts to “Stay the course” as started by President Reagan. Sen. Obama is indeed “arrogant” to have the audacity to hope he and his minions will pull back together many of the fractured areas of America thereby putting it again as a truly functioning society.

This to them is not racism and I thank God they have yet to overtly call Sen. Obama an obstructionist. However, let us not assume there are not reporters at this point jockeying for the fame and fortuned awarded NYT reporter Judith Miller for the role she played in the Iraq/Contras preludes to the war. Although they, the oligarchy, may uses elements of racism as they so successfully did in Iran by segmenting the society into three ethnic areas of the country, they are doing this via the book on fighting terrorism and viewing the defenders of racism, if you will, as terrorist. After all, has not Karl Rove been hired to adjust Sen. McCain’s campaign? I would consider myself naive to believe he would try to win a Presidential campaign entirely using the lens of racism. He thinks in the broader terms of dealing with combatants, hence terrorist and yes, we can metaphorically look forward to some form of waterboarding and the likes. Karl Rove revels in bringing into reality those kinds of his fantasies. No longer his and Rumfeld's dirty little secret and I can only imagine what they would want to do to Sen. Obama.

I will go out on a limb and posit that most of the same people who were against the build up of the war in Iraq are the same people opposing what we feel is a racist war on Sen. Obama.

I awakened from my nap and this interpretation was on my mind so me, being an ardent believer in the universal thought, yawned, went to Dkos to find who else had the same thought and wrote about it and, still motivated, still yawning, found the dairy of gravity: (I have not leaned to use block quotes)

It's Easy to Break, It's Hard to Build

Opening paragraph:

"There are two kinds of people in this world. Builders and Breakers.
Building is hard work. Building consensus, building sound economic policy, building a movement for positive change. It's hard. It takes a long time. It's much easier to just break stuff. And Republicans, they like to do things the easy way. Every time."

Finally and in regard to the polls, I have questions regarding what I call Sen. McCain’s ethereal (not of this world, celestial) supporters. I reference the ones whom the polls say are just as many as Sen. Obama supporters. The ones who make the poll numbers reflect Sen. Obama is either a few points ahead of or behind Sen. McCain. The who we do not see in the many of the 50 to 100 showing up at the local waffle shop to hear a McCain stump speech. The ones whom you do not hear of who keeps Sen. McCain’s financial minister ever so busy counting money from contributions and, alas, the throngs working in his -to many to count- campaign offices, having McCain signs in their yards, making and wearing McCain T-shirts for their spouses and children to wear in local parades and at fairs. They ones only showing up in polls. To be more exact, in the Gallup polls. Truly an amazing group of people the Gallup poll people have discovered here in America. One wonders if they are the same people in the market to buy bridges. I have expanded my real estate business. (Smile)

P.S. (After thought) Is Sen. McCain our new Chaliebi being used by Neo-cons? As I remember, Ahmed Chaliebi could also do no wrong. Neo-cons appear to relish going against universal thoughts. They find it unique and hope people would begin to love their uniqueness and it has turn in many cases to hateful scorn. Boy, talking about paranoia...

(UPDATE)
A comment to a diary: (Also, with numbers so high you would think there was no need to manipulate McCain’s answer in and interview with Katie Couric.)
What makes up McCains numbers? (2+ / 0-)
1. Obama leads white lower wage workers
2. Obama leads all folks earning below 27K
3. Obama leads blacks and hispanics by a big margin
4. Obama leads women by a big margin.
5. Obama has cornered the college educated market.
Sounds like pretty much everyone.
So just who in the world is supporting McCain to keep his numbers as high as they are?
