America meets Rachel Jantell

Neither Rachel Jantell, a star witness in the George Zimmerman Trial, nor my seventeen year old grand-son can  read or write cursive.

Cursive, also known as script, joined-up writing, joint writing, running writing, or handwriting is any style of penmanship in which the symbols of the language are written in a conjoined and/or flowing manner, generally for the purpose of making writing faster.

I learned a few years back cursive writing was taken out of the school curricular but little did  I know its absence would be one more weapon that could be used to label a person illiterate.
