Mission accomplished: Total de-sensitization of America

In one week tomorrow, the Obama administration, hand in hand with the media, will have accomplished what Hollywood has been trying to do for years.

With movies like Fatal Attraction, Let’s Drive Jessica Mad, the Halloween movie series and the likes, America has finally and collectively shown its regressive taste and appreciation for barbarism.

In my opinion, a lot of us who espouse all things humanitarian have seen our efforts flushed down the toilet in the short span of one week with ghoulish coverage of the Bin Laden assassination. The glee expressed is an affront to all things considered sane and civilized.

And so it is, like Hollywood, a genre has been created and appropriately exposed for more of the same to follow. Scripts and trailers for the next assassination are already in the pipe line.

The word is out: The appetite of the public must be satisfied. You will be well compensated for your contributions i.e., media exposure, book deals and numerous lecture opportunities.

P.S. I can not shake my feelings that the ‘powers that be’ are doing everything possible encouraging a massive terrorist attack on America. The objective would be the seizing of all monies in the Social Security, Medicare and various retirement funds under the guise of using it to “defend” ourselves. There are already operatives in positions to carry out the mission who are waiting, wishing, manipulating and praying. There is the old saying, “Follow the money!” In this instance, it is ‘your treasury is my treasury’ and we share and share alike but I have doubts about your share.

As the world continues to turn…

‘Tis true, as Rachel reported last night, when the media freezes a story like the Bin Laden saga, it goes on and on while not reporting other important news.

From this article by Mr. Cook, it appears something big is happening in Israel with a noteworthy event occurring tomorrow.
Egypt and Israel Headed for Crisis
By JONATHAN COOK
Excerpt:
The widening rift was underscored yesterday when leaders of the rival Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah signed a reconciliation pact in the Egyptian capital. Egypt's secret role brokering the agreement last week caught both Israel and the United States by surprise.

And
Israel's Yedioth Aharonoth daily reported this week that Egyptian social media sites had called for a mass demonstration outside the Israeli embassy tomorrow, demanding the expulsion of the ambassador, Yitzhak Levanon.

And
Analysts said Cairo wanted to restore its traditional leadership role in the Arab world and believed it was hampered by its ties with Israel.

“W” won’t come out to play with Barack

There was no question in my mind voting for George W. Bush in the 2001 Presidential race. At that time, I was a registered Democrat. In ‘04 and after Al Gore chose Joe Lieberman as his running mate, I stuck with “W”. I was still a registered Democrat at the time.

‘splainin…..
My vote for “W” in 2000 was due to the fact he said he would put Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice in his cabinet; the Crème-de-la-Crème of our “Negro” political society. In my opinion, it was analogous to Lincoln putting Frederick Douglas in his cabinet and Lyndon Johnson putting Fannie Lou Hamer in his cabinet. It was a big deal for me and I wanted to support his far-sighted vision.

My vote for “W” in ‘04 was also any easy one. In my opinion, Al Gore was doing well with me and in the polls until he bought in Joe Lieberman as his running mate. I was no longer torn. I had wanted to vote again for “W” because of the “Leave no child behind” act and I felt Democrats would dismantle the act before giving it a fighting chance to flourish. With Lieberman on the Democratic ticket, I was satisfied voting once again for “W”. My family members were furious! However, they still call me -ever so often- asking about my feelings regarding Pres. Obama. (Smile)

When “W” nominated Harriet Miers as a U.S. Supreme Court candidate and the Neocons dumped on him with heavy and virulent torrents of do-do, I felt his pain.

As so it is, and again in my opinion, “W” continues to be a decent man trying his dimmest not to again be manipulated by the powers that be:
W declines Obama's invitation...
By old mark
Excerpt:
George W. Bush declined an invitation to go to ground zero in NYC to celebrate the death of Osama bin Laden. President Obama called Bush to inform him of bin Laden's death, and later extended an invitation to Bush to go to the gathering of families of victims of teh attack on the Twin Towers in 2001. Bush's spokesman stated W prefers to "avoid the spotlight"...

P.S. It is said when the alphabet was being invented, the scholars were stuck with what to do after the letter “V” and so they re-treated to the letter “U” calling it a “double-u”. Hence, calling it “Dub-yah” is incorrect. X,Y and Z could have been the initials of the scholars. (Smile)

Black employees of Donald Trump

Just for contrast, I am mindful of an autobiography by the Black chauffeur of Pres. Lyndon Johnson. (I can not find the book with a Google search)

It would be interesting reading accounts of Black employees of Donald Trump i.e., salaries, promotions, staff meetings, invitations etc., Hint: Employees could begin by sending easily verifiable anonymous accounts to news outlets.

In my opinion, we will once again witness how America continues to be a racist country. This maybe a good time to up-date the Civil Rights struggle of the 60s’ with more contemporary accounts. I’m mindful of the saying, “Strike while the iron is hot!”

I would venture to say Black employees of Donald Trump were taken back with the highly un-mitigated, un-abashed and totally shameless racism their employer has publicly and continues to display. One would wonder what papers they had to produce to get their jobs and what hoops they have to continue jumping through. Where are our Black investigative reporters when we need them?
