Disdain for Obama provides sun light on government

Now that Massa Barack has taken over the Big House, the Blacks are no longer the ones “running and telling it”. Now it’s the whites. It appears portions of American history is repeating herself in the converse.
Oh boy, oh boy! the whites are putting us Blacks to shame. We was never did tellin’ so much stuff ‘bout our white Massas' like dey be tellin' 'bout Massa Barack. Dey tellin’ ebby-thing he do about running dis plantation. Dare no more secrets now! Dem white folks has put the Big House clothes line out on the front lawn an’ we so happy! Now we sees it all!

This puts Congresspersons on a spot as to their comprehension of what is going on in our government and allows the cream rising to the top amongst the White House Press Corp and political pundits. We Americans have never had so much transparency of our own government like with ObamaCare, Obama's Oil Spill, Obama’s FCC, Obama's this and Obama's that etc..,

I conclude, if my mind were the lily white vagina of Racism, I would want to know everything Obama was putting into me. I would therefore have to be aware of everything he is doing and saying, constantly looking over my shoulder and always on red alert running up and down Pennsylvania Avenue poised to scream “Rape!” on a moments' notice.

God bless the American racist! At times like this, whatever would we do without them? As history marches on, we will never be able to ask, “Where were you when we needed you?”

U.S. Senators, America’s pit bulls!

Enter Congressman Kendrick Meek (D-FL 17).

Tonight I saw Mr. Meek on television for the first time since announcing his bid for the U.S. Senate seat of Florida. If I could say anything at all to Mr. Meek, I would tell him through my observations there are vast differences between being a Congressman and a Senator. My observations tell me Senators are not “Yes, Ma’am” and “No, Sir” people. They are flat out SOB’s and have to be that way due to the tremendous responsibilities placed on them by the U.S. Constitution.

I would suggest to Mr. Meek finding the SOB within himself and flaunting it! I would also suggest to him throwing away the play book that got him elected Congressman: Campaigning to become a U.S. Senator -from Florida- is a different can of worms.

Finally, I would tell Mr. Meek that U.S. Senators, if they had to, would snatch off and sell the backs on their grandmother’s rocking chair for fire wood....if they had to. Enough said.

Where are Black men like Obama?

If I could write a poem, I would ask where are other young Black and well educated men as smart as our president?

I would say many of them are below the horizon by design and will stay there during their entire career. I would list some things of note.

I would say those not having their spirits broken have to endure the same shameful humiliations as our President. Whether one morning seeing a noose hanging on their locker, reading racist cartoons carefully placed on their un-guarded desks or being perpetually overlooked for meaningful promotions with or without contrived excuses: Those things I would write in my poem. Yes I would.

I would write about the sometimeness of conversations with his superiors. I would word the capriciousness of his co-workers and the celebrations of events offered them after they have purchased a new boat, a new house or just coming back from a vacation with the entire office celebration with balloons and cards never afforded him.

If I were a poet….not even a good one…..just a poet wanting to say something….not my story….a poet’s poem. (Sigh)

What I did for love (of racial equality)
by on the cusp
Excerpt:
I had a few minutes to glimpse his case file, and found this statement from the arresting officer:  "  I, officer White Guy, was called to a scene of a suspected burglary of a habitation.  I found D in a truck in the road, with a flat tire, and some fence boards in his bumpers.  He made the statement he had a front tire blowout that caused him to hit a yard fence made of boards.  His flashers were on.  I arrested him for criminal mischief and transported him to the jail for booking without incident."

Bank Bill: Being taken for a ride

It’s nice when you know you are being taken for a ride there is someone to point out the scenery for you.

Since Friday there was heap big talk regarding the pending vote for Bank Reform. I note the bill was not given an official name. All the networks spoke of its importance and implications.

Comes voting time at 5:00 PM Monday, I noted right off the bat C-SPAN did not put up their score board. I cursed at not seeing how the vote was going and even more for not hearing a single word regarding the vote until 9:00 PM during the Rachel Maddow Show.

Before that time, there was nothing regarding the vote I could find on TV nor on the several web sites I usually visit. This strengthened my resolve where the power in America lie and how it is used. It was then my resolve was strengthened that I, perhaps along with others, was being taken for a ride and for reasons that surfaced late in the evening in the Huffington Post article cited below. Kudos to the author.

Shorting Democracy
Richard (RJ) Eskow
Excerpt:
The bill contains many measures that Republicans say they want. As Sen. Shelby said, they claim to want something substantive. Normally a bill is finalized through a process of public debate -- at least that's what we were taught in civics class. But 41 Senators are on record as saying they don't want a public debate about this bill. They don't want to introduce amendments or debate the merits of the policies that are in it today. Their long-range strategy is no doubt to paralyze the Senate until Democrats are forced to accept back-room deals that will kill an already dangerously weakened bill. That's a great way to kill reform without leaving any fingerprints.

P.S. Regarding the withholding of information: Should a young woman tell her dates up front she has had a hysterectomy or how many abortions she has experienced?

Did Sen. Scott Brown have lobbyist or confidence of voters?

One could describe his swagger as late adolescence traveling around in a pick-up from one political event to another dressed in faded jeans, a flannel shirt and a barn coat.

(Voice) He looks like an honest man. He behaves like an honest man. What he says to me is what an honest man would say. A man who is what he is and not a man whom the corporate world says he is. Sure makes voting a whole lot easier. So far, it has worked for the voters in Massachusetts.

I can not understand how a candidate, incumbent or not, needs to have a bunch of money to convince people of what he feels in his heart. How many TV commercials do you have to make telling people about your sincerity? Word gets around quickly now a days.

In the following article, I look at these obsolete and passé corporate marionettes who may run for President in 2012 and I smile minus the companionship of pleasant thoughts.

TeaBaggers: “Send in the clowns”

The TeaBaggers et.,al should feel very foolish as new information emerges how they have allowed themselves to be so manipulated and humiliated by the American oligarchy and Fox News in particular.

If I can understand the following diary by MinistryOfTruth, I know the average TeaBagger surely can.

With their three cornered hats, hoop skirts, fancy head gear and anti-social signs, they should really feel ashamed of themselves. However, if your Master wants a command performance of a Minstrel Show, you have no choice but to obey, anytime, anywhere.

For some reason, TeaBaggers and their cohorts feel duty-bound to once in awhile provide *comic relief performances in the Village Square to the amusement of a choice few.

And when they are called upon to take a bus tour, I strongly suspect advertising literature has enticements like, “See America”, “Meals provided”, Meet new friends”, “Do your part to save America!”
At this time, the oligarchy is slowly but surely awakening to emerging facts it is not going to keep America under its thumb with TeaBaggers left struggling with other creative concepts: They still think they are the good-guys. Sad.

Moyers: 6 Banks Control Wealth = to 60% GNP. Is the U.S. at the Mercy of an Unstoppable Oligarchy?
by MinistryOfTruth
Excerpt:
3/5ths of all American incomes, goods and services are under the influence of 6 Big Banking trusts.
The question is, have the banks bigger than the Government that is supposed to represent the people and their best interests? Better yet, is the U.S. at the mercy of an unstoppable oligarchy?

And
So what happens when every special interest in America drives the bus? What happens the banks bet on those special interests and against the interests of the American people? What happens when those big banks bet against America, as they did in 2008?
What happens when the billionaire Oligarchs become more powerful than the Government that is elected by the People? What happens when the politicians elected to serve the people instead solely serve the oligarchs?

And
Corporatist Oligarchs are the new royalty. Free markets are the new serfdom. With Oligarchs who control 3/5ths of a nations GNP gaming Democracy, is there even a chance that Democracy can work properly? With a Corporate media that doesn't even cover the reality facing America, can America continue to survive? Most importantly, the question remains . . . . .
