Herman Cain and other crabs in the barrel
- Boy, it sure is gettin’ crowded in here.
- Hey, I remember you! You wanted to start a chain of grocery stores. I remember you climbing up the sides of this barrel determined you were going to do your thing. You were like “The little Black engine that could”. What happened?
- Yeah, I gave it my best. All those sleepless nights, the money I spent and all the hassles of getting permits and stuff and it just didn’t catch on. My wife’s a beautician. She wanted to start opening beauty schools. People talk, you know what I mean? Sometimes too much. By the way, why are you still here? You’re so young.
- When I was in high school, I always got good grades. Always on the honor roll and then they started telling me I was acting white. You know, stuff like that and it got to me. I just couldn’t take it. I wanted to be a violinist.
-Here comes Chester runnin' as fast as he can, all out of breath and everything. He wanted to start his own law firm. What's up, Chester?
- Hey ya’ll, look at that guy climbing up the walls trying to get out! He's tryin' to make a run for it! Look at him go, ya’ll! Who is he?
- Oh, that’s Herman Cain. He's trying to get out the best way he can. He wants to be President of the United States. Let’s get’em!
Fighting for the dignity of my Ancestors,
God bless Bill Gates, WPFW, C-SPAN and the spirits of the unborn for the help,

“Brother Cornel West told CNN that Herman Cain is smoking the metaphorical crack pipe. Boyce Watkins used Herman Cain as an object lesson in black on black racism. Professor Eddie Glaude, polite as ever, said that Herman Cain practices "political chicanery." Elder god Reverend Lowery called Herman Cain a butt-licking coprophagist...but he said it using nicer words. And Harry Belafonte just eviscerates Herman Cain and his Tea Party GOP handlers.”
(For personal reasons I choose not to source this quote)
“He’s being used,” Lowery said. “I think he has sense enough to know it. But he’s enjoying it. He’s a good excuse [for Republicans]: ‘We’re not racists, we got Herman Cain.’”
