Black and White in Chicago

I will never know why in 2004 Black Chicagoans chose Jack Ryan over the brilliant Black Community Worker Barack Obama to become their U.S. Senator elect.

It would be of the most unusual circumstances for Obama to have acquired his brilliance and rhetorical skills only after his opponent Jack Ryan dropped out of the race due to the releasing of divorce papers wherein his wife accused him of having quirky sexual fantasies involving her full and consensual participation. Court papers record her resistance.

Is history repeating itself? At this time in Chicago we have yet another brilliant Black, Ms. Carole Mosley-Braun competing for Mayor of Chicago against the emotionally challenged ex-side kick of Pres. Obama, Rahm Emanuel.

I am peeved with myself thinking Mr. Emanuel is going to be declared the winner on Feb. 22nd. Damn!! What am I missing?
As always,
