Republicans: No Blacks wanted

I want to register an opinion. Not necessarily my own but rather in the form of ‘Could it be?’

I do not recall reading any account of '(the) GOP problem with people of color’ as clear and accurate as the one from Dkos diarist brooklynbadboy. Pulling from my own knowledge and personal experiences, I can attest to the accuracy of the diary and extend Kudos.

However, could it be Republicans do not want Blacks in their organization due to the fact there is always a group of creepy people following them around?

Could it be that if there were one Black attending the 'Republican Elected Officials Dinner' in Mississippi as per the inserted photo, the creepy people would zero in on the lone Black, thus rendering the entire dinner null and void?

Could it be the Republican Party, for whatever reasons, want to be a Christian organization and although Blacks are mostly Christians, the creepy folks following them around maybe ‘Christians in name only?’

If Blacks were embraced into the Republican Party, could it be the creepy people would also want to be accepted into the party to keep an eye on their Black prey thereby illuminating un-wanted distractions? "Blacks carry so much baggage with them."

Could it be the only way they could get in would be via our coat tails?

Could there therefore be a conclusion made it is not only Black Christians who are un-wanted in the party but also their creepy nemesis, who are sure to follow? Show me a Black Republican and I’ll show you a gaggle of creepy people gloating and strategizing not far away. Sad.

Fighting for the dignity of my Ancestors,
God bless Bill Gates, WPFW, C-SPAN and the spirits of the unborn for the help,
BB
P.S. Look here, I also have a ‘Could it be’ as to why Sen. Obama, with assurance of a very long stay, was in breath taking moments whisked off the Senate floor to run for no less than President of the United States of America. (Smile)

Barbour furor obscures GOP problem with people of color
by brooklynbadboy
Excerpt:
The bottom line: Republican officials are hostile to people of color, especially blacks. That hostility is due directly to the Civil Rights Movement and the GOP's adoption of the Southern Strategy. Simply put, all the racists in the south and everywhere else became Republicans in response to the Democratic Party's acceptance of equality for people of all backgrounds.

And
While conservative ideology is a big reason for the GOP losing the black vote, that is not a sufficient explanation for losing 90% of it. I dare say that many wealthy or upper income Black Americans who may find a Republican candidate compelling still can't cross that line because the GOP is so hostile to minorities. If Republicans could ever get out from under their racism, the Democrats would have a real fight on their hands.
