Sen. Reids’ lack of foresight….

and reaping what you sow.

It is my understanding at the beginning of Congress each year, an agreement between both parties must be made as to how many votes have to be cast in order to pass a bill.

It is my understanding that this year, the agreed amount was sixty votes with the agreement made between Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and either Republican Mitch McConnell or John Boehner.

If this is true, in my opinion Democrats can still save their hind-parts next year by establishing a majority rule vote instead of sixty votes and re-visit some of their pet bills thereby passing them without a hitch. Simple enough? We’ll see.

If Harry Reid maintains his position as Senate Majority Leader for the opening of Congress next year, would he press for majority rule votes? I have strong feelings about him succeeding on that front. This is only something else to look forward to and worry about. I tell ya’ Lord, if it’s not my sheep, it’s my cow!

As always,

And
"Maybe they will come back next week," she ( Stebenow) said. "Bluff? That suggests a game, and I resent that. There are over a million people right now who have lost their unemployment benefits."
