Fried chicken or Bar-B-Q steak

In my opinion, there are two issues that can always make America drop dead in its tracks. Everything is put on “pause” and for hours on end we holds hands singing, “Ol’ Black Joe” or “If I had a hammer!”

If the Oligarchy wants us to re-visit racial issues, they have us singing “Ol’ Black Joe” and if they want us to re-visit abortion issues, they just as energetically conduct us in singing “If I had a hammer”.

It’s always one song or the other.

With both issues being long ago “Settled law”, our good ol’ Oligarchy find them ever so useful to bring out of the closet, dust them off and present them as “New and improved”.

And we sing and sing. Boy, do we sing! We even manage to work in a few soloist from time to time.

Did the man really say, “Bamboozled”?
