Humanity splinters

Does humanity have one code of conduct or does it change from one demographic region to another?

At this time, I can not help having a ‘ho-hum’ reaction to what is being reported in the news regarding the Middle East.

In my opinion, the humanity of a group of people does not work with the argument there are gradations of black and white. I had a professor of philosophy who held the belief, “You are either a tree or a non-tree”.

Therefore, in my opinion, you cannot say each country in the Middle East has to be treated differently. You can not say that happened in Tunisia and Egypt is different than what is happening in Behrain and Yemen. We have to accept the humanitarian causes as to why citizens are putting their lives on the line. Contrary to what media wants us to believe, Humanity and Democracy are not synonymous.

As I think on it, maybe there are shades of humanity and not coming to grips with that issue is the problem America has dealing with other countries. Maybe my professor was wrong. Maybe America’s problem in dealing with other occupants on this planet is stubborn, arrogant and wrong-headed. I wonder as I wander….(Sigh)

As always,
BB
P.S. At this time, I think ANONYMOUS has the best grip on what humanity is and how one should deal with it.
