David Axelrod: The tired puppeteer?
I saw Mr. Axelrod yesterday on a Sunday morning talk show and he appeared tired, worn out and un-happy!
In my opinion, Mr. Axelrod has never been a flashy, know-it-all kind of guy nor has he been one loving himself some microphone. To me he is always thoughtful, measured, insightful and, yes, at times pedantic and boring.
On Sunday morning, however, he appeared helplessly defeated and I think it was only when he said that he miss his family did everything fall into place. It was sad.
As always,
