Palin: From Eva Braun to Glenda the good witch of the North (Update)
Excerpt and opening paragraph:
*There appears to be a pretty big gap between what DC journalists think Americans think, and what Americans actually think. No better example of this can be found than the "winners" and "losers" that DC media are proclaiming in the wake of the passage of the stimulus bill, and what DailyKos/Research 2000 polling on the subject indicates.
With a preponderance of low-performers and losers, my Hiney Shiny is telling me Mainstream Media (MSM) is telling us they are willing to “Prepare ye the way” for Sarah Palin.
According to my source, they are doing a good job. Take a good look at the props they are bringing on stage for the big event. Invigorating, intelligent, highly motivated movers and shakers like Rev. Pat Robinson, *Sen. Eric Cantor (Argue with him and run the risk of being called “anti-Semitic”) , Rush Limbaugh and I even saw a call for Rep. Michele Bachman. They have placed her on stage; second row. Rudy Guliani is waiting for the stage manager to call him.
Also there is renewed interest in the pearls of wisdom from the masterful puppet master Dick Cheney and his pupets Karl Rove, Mitch Romney and the venerable and lovable Sen, John McCain. All have been brought back on stage participating in the crowd scene anticipating the entrance of one Sarah Palin. The script suggest Ms. Palin making her entrance in the aura of Glenda, the good witch of the north lip syncing to the august assembled crowd, “If you believe.” I am mindful MSM is also fighting for its Republican life.
My source tells me MSM wants to kind of, sort of, putrid the air to such a degree that when Ms. Palin comes on stage, she will appear as a very desirable breath of fresh air. And John McCain? We all know the routine. They are trying to make John McCain, yes, old educationally challenged John McCain, the magda cum laude spokesperson of their efforts. He will be casted as the hero and his song TBA will also be from “The Wiz”. It’ a riot! Now to be real honest, my source has been wrong before so I will post a dis-claimer up front as to its accuracy. Finally, my source says MSM is working on eliciting the help of Adolph himself for a cameo appearance. Stay tuned! If it is at all possible, our MSM will have no problems and surely no shame in doing it.
Fighting for the dignity of my Ancestors,
God bless Bill Gates, WPFW, C-Span and the spirits of the unborn for the help,

Excerpt: Opening paragraphs says it all.
Since the stimulus bill debate began, Eric Cantor has received major face time and become something of a Republican celebrity. The cable news channels have been falling over themselves to put Cantor on the air and let him promulgate the myth that the Republican Machine is lean, mean and ready to take back Congress using their time-honored principles of less government and tax cuts for the wealthy.
Once again, the GOP is attempting to pull the wool over the eyes and at the forefront of this sham is none other than Cantor, a man who has no principles and is simply an obstructionist that is gambling with America's economy to pick up seats at the mid-terms.
But why do I say this? What proof do I have that Cantor is Just Another Republican?
And
Republican obstinacy: How's it working?

Excerpt from a columnist quoted in post:
NOT EVEN the stimulus bill stimulated the Republican Party into any human feeling. It heard not the screams of 4 million people losing their jobs in the last year, not the slamming doors of shuttering factories, nor the shrieks at kitchen tables from Saco to Sacramento as working Americans open their mail to see they've lost 40 percent and more on their 401ks.

Thanks for the invite. I am just a teacher. A 20th C. teacher. We teach our classes, eat our lunch, lock our doors, say good night to the janitor and go home. I am scare to death of the 21st century. Too mean!
As always,
