“The Return of Cream, Payback”

By Solomon Jones has me gasping for emotional controls these last few pages. And the pages before that had me literally trying to devoice myself from the emotions I was experiencing while reading passages wherein a fourteen year old boy was sharing the emotions he had regarding the death of his mother with Cream who had experienced the same emotions only hours before. I was crying! To say the novel‘s “…gatta hold of me” is a gross understatement!

I think I am a bit embarrassed! It’s a beautiful day and I was sitting on the back porch reading and……WOW! I was blown away! Those young’uns sure know how to pull at your heart strings. I hope I can get through the rest of this story…..
