If I were an independent film maker..

I would anticipate the historical mushroom clouds triggered by the President’s signing of the HealthCare Reform Bill.
I would perch myself in a hospital room with a patient who does not have health insurance and record the doctor coming in telling him/her Pres. Obama has signed a bill allowing a more aggressive program of treatment to go forth for their pre-existing condition.

Or…
I would find and record the joys of a parent telling her sick child to hold on because meaningful help is finally on the way after watching Pres. Obama signing the bill on TV.

Or…
I would try recording the excitement in a sports bar as the bill is being signed and record some individual stories.

Or…
I would seek to record workers on the mid-night shift talking about the signing of the bill and what it would mean for them and their families.

These are a few ideas off the top of my head and I am not good at suggesting what an independent film maker should do, but if you were to ask me what I would do if I could play the piano like Vladimir Horowitz or sing like Michael Jackson, I think I would do better. (Smile)
As always,
