In my experiences, the student is crying out for me to notice him. Usually nothing more than that. I have not ignored him in the past but still he has an urgent need to say, “Hey, Mr. BB! Look at me! See what I can do. I can disrupt your class so I guess that makes me important! Na, na, na, na, na-- na!”
True there maybe other issues involved but as a teacher and a layman, one does not have the license to go too much in depth interpreting these anti-social behaviors. You have a class to teach.
Rep. Joe Wilson Yells Out "You Lie!" During Obama Health Care Speech (VIDEO)
Excerpt:
***UPDATE*** GOP Rep. Joe Wilson has apologized for yelling out "You lie!" to Obama during his health care speech in front of Congress:
I note in the apology of Rep. Wilson a well reasoned and crafted letter of apology. If he did indeed himself write it, one can see he is not illiterate nor is he a rambler, a la Sarah Palin. I personally feel Rep. Wilson, like so many other people seeking attention, used the solemn occasion to selfishly write himself into the history books of the Obama Administration.
The apology:
This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the President's remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill. While I disagree with the President's statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility.

The most shameful part of this episode is Rep. Wilson will not be censured for his behavior and thus remain a folk hero. To be continued…
Fighting for the dignity of my Ancestors,
God bless Bill Gates, WPFW, C-SPAN and the spirits of the unborn for the help,
BB
