Rachel Maddow, teacher Par Excellence

As a former teacher, I can not compliment Ms. Maddow enough for the hard work and intelligent decisions she makes while preparing to air her nightly shows. There have been many times I have thought them to be flawless and, in my opinion, last evening was one of them. The various highly informative segments flowed seamlessly with the appearance of being effortless, a badge of honor for any teacher.

To Ms. Maddow, I write “Kudos” on her chalkboard and place a shiny red apple on her desk in appreciation.

Santorum does not lay golden eggs

Rick Santorum won three caucuses last night. He won without having a whole bunch of money.

Mr. Santorum won in Colorado, Minnesota and Missouri and this has set MSM and the Americans Oligarchy on its hind legs. They have been headed off at the pass by the Calvary.

I am mindful of something Rush Limbaugh said the other week, (paraphrased) Those pushing for a Mitt Romney Presidency are only doing so to gain control of his vast financial empire.

In my opinion, this implies the three other contestants are too poor to get involved with: Ron Paul has no money to speak of, Santorum has even less and Newt Gingrich can only peddle influences. Question: If you were MSM and other components of the American Oligarchy, which one of the four candidates would you like to be your political goose capable of laying golden eggs? That bunch may send Mr. Romney to the poor house if he is not careful. And if he does become President, he is definitely going to have to share his wealth with other sharks in the water. In my opinion, that’s a given.

Political pundits making whole cloth
They become obsessed with one word or a quote taken out of context creating a garment so flawed you would be embarrassed giving it to the Salvation Army. It is exasperating to experience them making their case and wonder how could people thinking like that function in a modern society or even having graduated from a half-way decent high school. You can only pity and pray for their family and friends and thank the Gods in blissful reverence you are neither.

Super Pacs and Mainstream Media

It was last Thursday or Friday Rush Limbaugh said that Mainstream Media (MSM) has always been a Super Pac. This was an eye-opener for me! He went on to say Super Pacs are not new, they have always been around and used almost exclusively by our MSM. Of courses the name Super Pac was not used in those days.

This information suggest to me the 2010 landmark decision of Citizens United Vs. FEC only leveled the political playing field and I note the decision was rendered by a Republican dominated U.S. Supreme Court.

Prior to 2010, MSM was the hidden donor promoting a favored candidate and his agenda. A less favored candidate would be demonized and possibly destroyed due to a lack of resources. And with no meaningful access to a megaphone as big and as powerful as that of MSM, the defenseless opponent was like the preverbal snowball in hell, so to speak. He simply did not have a chance.

As things now stand and with the passage of ‘Citizens United’ chugging along full throttle, whomever the political media darling is can now be effectively challenged by the Super Pac of his opponent. There is, however, an irony in this situation: the Super Pac has to pay large sums of money before it can use the big and powerful megaphones of MSM.

I can not help but wonder how different our political scene would be if Howard Dean and John Kerry had Super Pacs back in the day. (Sigh) There is an old saying, “You can’t win’em all!”

Bob Beckel farts on ‘The Five’ set

Last evening, Mr. Beckel had his sphincter muscle in the middle of his face and to my horror, expelled all of its contents while ranting about a recent speech of Rep. Allen West.

*Mr. Beckel appeared emotionally un-stable while pointing and shaking his finger both admonishing and advising Rep. West to stay in his (negro) place. To their credit, the other four panel members remained civil and rendered a masterful and highly sophisticated job of protecting their own reputations as well as those of their show.

I recently started watching Fox News on a regular basis after seeing host Neil Caputo interview Presidential candidate Herman Cain with effortless respect. Later I saw Presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul get the same respect and shortly after that, I thought I was in Objective Heaven when I discovered Judge Napolitano consistently rendering un-biased accounts of Dr. Pauls’ campaign.

Enter Bob “Ol' Sphincter face” Beckel. Sad.

In my opinion, Ron Paul has been shunned by the press due to his labor intensive washing of Americas’ dirty linen in public and the good people of South Carolina voted on Saturday to put a face on our dirty linen in the personhood of Newt Gingrich.

Men and women of Southern heritage have the most amazing and subtle ways of exposing people. They know what to say, how to say it and have impeccable timing as to when to say it. And what they have to say is analogous to the old saying, “...so high you can’t jump over it, so low you can’t crawl under it and so wide you can’t get around it!” There is nothing Southerners know better than ‘po white trash’ when they see it.

Lurking in the atmosphere of a heavily draped Southern living room is the un-disputed knowledge Newt is a lying, cheating scoundrel. Amid the background is the gentle plucking of a banjo as men quietly drink mint juleps and women exchange whispers behind their open fans. Ever so often they take time to smile and nod at one another thereby acknowledging their soon to be strategic influence in the re-election of Pres. Obama.

If I were a political pundit having the job to defend and promote the electability of Newt to be President of the United States of America, I would consider this a good time to take sick live or an early vacation. My mental health would be my first priority. I would neither write nor show my face anywhere for awhile.

If I were in the music publishing business, I would seize the opportunity to combine the two singers. I would find a way!

It has been a long wish of mine to have a charity affair featuring Tucker Carlson as Rudolfo and Rachel Maddow as Mimi in a production of La bohème. By the time they had finished the last scene, the roof of the theater will have collapsed due to the thunderous applause.

Should Blacks set Pres. Obama free?

I would suggest there are few Blacks who would deny the fact President Obama has fought a good fight as the first Black President of the United States. I am one who feels he is and has been living in the belly of the beast all his life.

Racism in America has become an art form with the ambiguity of the Mona Lisa smile. Those of us having jobs of tremendous prestige and responsibilities are acutely aware of its varied subtleties and off’times capricious areas of manifestation. We know the toil it takes on us, our family and friends. We know the land mines that we have to constantly and consistently avoid as it gnaws away at our authority invoking both pity on one hand and scorn on the other.

And I would further suggest there are few who would deny the President has done the best he could under the circumstances and would say with all the love in our hearts, “Well done, my good and faithful servant,” it is now time for you to get some rest. No more rough sides of mountains to climb. The world will continue to turn.

Pres. Obama says ‘Happy New Year and FU!’

What the President did on New Years’ Eve was tragic. He signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act. In my opinion, the President has created a smoldering volcano that will erupt any day. In other countries, I have heard of family members disappearing never to be heard of again and that movie is coming soon to a local theater in America.

The National Defense Authorization Act is not a leap from democracy to tyranny, but it is another major step on a steady and accelerating decade-long march toward a police-and-war state.

Sen. Ron Paul washes Americas’ dirty linen in public

This angers the American Oligarchy punishable by ridicule including the act of verbal public stoning!

Today I was able to see Dr. Paul twice on C-Span: I saw him on an interview on radio station WHO in Iowa and afterwards addressing a group of veterans. Both times he was busy washing Americas’ dirty linen in his out-door washtub with lye soap and scrubbing board at hand. Unfortunately, Mainstream Media will not play clips from either of the forums. The silly stuff the media is concerned with at this time boggles the mind. I feel sorry for political pundits and commentators who have to do and say what their often times nefariously driven producers want.

As I heard Dr. Paul speak, there were moments when all I could think of was the truth telling of old Negro Spirituals and Southern Baptist ministers. Dr. Paul and I are the same age within two years.

There were tears when the host of the radio show WHO played a tape of a Black man recalling how Dr. Paul delivered the baby of his white wife when he was continually shunned by other doctors and nurses in the emergency room where he had taken his wife when she was in labor pleading for help. The baby was still-born for whatever reason. There has to be more stories like that regarding Dr. Paul we may never hear due to the dismay of the American Oligarchy. Sad.

P.S. When I was growing up, the metaphor meant for you not to wash your dirty drawers in public hanging them out to dry on the clothes line in your yard for neighbors to see. White folks called them linen and we Blacks in my neighborhood called them drawers. This was long before gas or electric dryers in your home. This was the era of out door bath tubs, out door wash tubs and, if you were lucky, wringer washing machines.

Rep. Ron Paul and my comfort zone

Sometimes when you want to write something, you just have to start writing.

For a few days I have wanted to write something about Rep. Ron Paul but I could not find the words expressing my feelings regarding the so-called racist remarks he wrote over twenty years ago. I am fully aware when Mainstream Media wants to demonize a white man, they tag him a racist to stir up and box-in the Black community so we can not concentrate on nor discuss anything other then the racist remarks. In other words, covert attempts at voter suppression.

Further, I wanted to write the fact if we Blacks weld all our votes to issues of white racism, we would never vote for anyone. Fortunately, Counterpunch contributor *David Lindorff has come to my writing rescue and has said it for me:

The racist bit is funny. After all, if we’re honest, the whole political infrastructure of the US is riven with racism. Just check out the public schools in any urban area, where you’ll find most of the students are non-white, or check out the schools in rural parts of the southeast in areas where most of the students are black — compare the condition of those schools and the class sizes to schools in the white neighborhoods. Check out the wildly different jobless figures for whites and for blacks. Check out the (very pale) complexion of the student bodies at just about any state university, check out the skin tones of the judges on the US Supreme Court, or for that matter, the whole federal bench. Check out the racial breakdown of the nation’s jails, and especially on the country’s many death rows, where you’ll find a wildly outsized percentage of people with black or brown skin waiting to be killed by the state.

And he adds this gem, “Being a racist is clearly no disqualifier for national political office. It’s just that you are not supposed to say overtly racist things, at least in public.”

FICA taxes may go up $2.00 on every $100.00 earned

In other words, if you are paying $38.00, you would pay an additional 2% or $2.00 on every hundred dollars earned which would bring your total contributions to $40.00.

With my limited knowledge of math, 2% of $100.00 is $2.00.

I want to know where the buck stops.

History is repeating itself. It is truly disgusting to see how the President continues to be a willing and passive subordinate to his own subordinates. It appears the President has learned nothing from reading the book by Ron “Confidence men” Suskind.

Once again he has a member of his own party, Re: Harry Reid (Iago?) making decisions exposing his lack of leadership as the President of this country. I am in favor of the President himself calling back members of the Senate to resolve the tax issue and any other issue that arises. It’s their job mandated by the U.S. Constitution.

What I don't know about Hanukah

Since Hanukah has broken forth as a holiday during the Christmas season, I am mindful I know little about it:

1. What does the official word ‘Hanukah’ mean and how does it associate with the Christmas season? Why are there different spellings?

2. I have not heard hundreds of year old songs and music celebrating Hanukah. Why? What is the most famous Hanukah song?

3. What foods are eaten at the celebration? Is the house decorated?

4. What religious services are held at synagogues? I have never seen or heard of one nor been invited.

5. Are gifts exchanged? Is there a Hanukah costume worn like the one for Santa Clause?

6. Does Toys-r-Us deliver trucks full of gifts to Jewish establishments for Hanukah? Do children have a Hanukah list like a Christmas list? Who do they send their list to?

7. Do people pack up and travel great distances to be with relatives and friends during Hanukah? Is there a movie like “Miracle on 34th Street” celebrating Hanukah?

8. Is the Jewish population really offended when you wish them “Merry Christmas?”

I wonder as I wander….

In defense of two months contracts

Gingrich owes political debts

Yesterday I heard Newt Gingrich say that he would consider asking both John Bolton and Donald Trump to be his Secretary of State when he becomes President.

One would not have to strain one’s imagination to conceive the make-up of the Gingrich administration thus:

Looking through windows at Tiffany’s comes to mind. You see what you like and enter the store to purchase the jewelry or set of jewels that suits your fancy. In my opinion, it would be just that simple. That would be the essence of the Gingrich administration; You buy what you want and what you see is what you get.

Mr. Gingrich has already informed us he would approach John Bolton and Donald Trump to be Secretary of State. Another cabinet member would be Rep. Bob Dole who paid off the $300,000.00 fine levered on him for violating House rules and we can not overlook those guys working for Fannie Mae who paid him so handsomely for history lessons. Of course, there is his third wife along with owners of the various poll agencies who inflated un-imaginable numbers propelling him into the Presidential primaries and subsequently into the White House.

When he becomes President, Mr. Gingrich would have to create positions that positions never thought of i.e., third assistant to the second assistant in charge of the first.
Newt Gingrich is a very smart man!. Yes he is! Ask anyone who has done him a favor. I can picture him wandering halls in the White House peeking in doors humming the song, “If my friends could see me now.”

As dresses go up, neckties vanish

It’s painful seeing female TV anchors tugging, pulling and trying to control what used to be called a dress.

There was a time when men seeing the most minimal of “fair skin” were driven out of their minds. Ecstasy of poetic proportions was seeing a woman’s ankles as she was descending steps from a horse drawn carriage; restrained delirium occurred seeing her at the beach in a long-legged one piece bathing suit drifting to full strength knock-out intoxication seeing her in a V-neck blouse.

Of course I am talking about long ago, and to be fair, it was a very long time ago. However, long story short, when I see short ‘dresses’ on female anchors, I somehow manage to place them in black fish net stockings thereby complimenting their attire to my taste. (It must be Freudian on my part.)

By contrast, the male TV anchor first began loosening his necktie and now in many cases, his necktie is completely removed and he has begun un-buttoning his shirt downward revealing bare chest and, thank God, he’s not also lowering the zipper on his trousers…. but then….Naw!

Why Elizabeth Warren did not get the job

Contrary to all accounts I read, Ms. Warren did not become head of the agency she helped to create was due to factors imposed by Republicans not reported:

Among their demands: eliminating the director's position, creating an oversight board instead, and requiring the agency to be dependent on congressionally appropriated funds for its operating budget.

I was informed Tim Geithner did not like Ms. Warren, felt he could not work with her and felt she would be a threat to his position as U.S. Secretary of the Treasury and his pals on Wall Street and if Ms. Warren were recessed into the position, the Senate would vote to cut off funding.

It appears Republicans feel such an agency would serve the country better if were not under the custodial control of a singular individual and it appears the Obama administration dis-agrees.

-Lots of happy negroes yesterday. I speak of the negroes relieved of experiencing vicarious feelings associated with a Black man who dares to brake new grounds thereby exposing their own insecurities and short-comings. -I was surprised hearing Mr. Cain was in contact with Michele Bachman prior to his announcement suspending his campaign of running for President. Both of them have blessings on their heads from TeaParty chapters. With the up-coming primaries, my Hiney Shiney tells me decisions will have to be made between the pompous Newt Gingrich and the testy Michele Bachman.

Herman Cain Vs. the self hating negro

I have turned my TV watching almost exclusively to Fox channels during this most recent Herman Cain saga.

Everytime I tune onto a non-Fox channel and see a Black participant, I mentally bet my mortgage payment he/she is a self hating negro placed on the panel to tear down Mr. Cain and I am not usually wrong. Malcolm X called them “House negroes“.

It has been my experience white people do not like Blacks or even negroes dissing other Blacks or negroes saying things they think whites want to hear. Whites lose all respect for that individual and they therefore become an object of amusement; just another self-hating negro ornament whom they can call upon to tear down another Black trying to make a meaningful contribution to our society, Re. Herman Cain.

This evening, I witnessed another respectful Neil Cavuto interview with Mr. Cain on the Fox channel. I also watched shows called “The Five” and “Red Eye” and all of the time dialog amongst the panel members regarding Mr. Cain was decent and respectful of his humanity.

I might add those democratic negroes so disdainful of Mr. Cain are the same negroes who did not like Obama from the beginning of his candidacy for President to the present time. Most of them said, “He’s not Black enough!” or some other such nonsense. There is a pattern they have created for themselves I think they should look at with elevated mental health concerns.

On bailing out student loans

If I were to let my imagination take flight, I would imagine recent college graduates as *diamonds in the rough draped with cloaks that are cold, wet and heavy.

When I went to Howard University late 50's to early 60's, tuition was $35.00 a credit hour and a 3 hour course cost my parents an average of $155.00. We students would “WOW!” and shift in our seats when the professors hastened to tell us tuition at American University, also located in Washington, D.C., was a whopping $50.00 a credit hour. Many of us got the message.

Most of us students graduated, got a job in our field and immediately started to let our little diamonds begin to shine in our communities as meaningful citizens.

If we moved into an apartment, rent was $100.00 a month for a two bedroom and our only other bill was perhaps paying for a $3000.00 brand new car. There were no computers to purchase and maintain or monthly cell phones or cable bills to pay. My personal salary as a school teacher was $3,200.00 for a 10 month year.

In my opinion, the average college graduate of today graduates with a huge debt owed to his college; a ball and chain if you will, with one on each leg. He can not move forward due to the burdens of his college debts that is predicted may out live him and he will more than likely be a grey haired grandparent before it is paid off.

I saw a documentary wherein a college student died in an accident leaving behind an $81,000.00 educational loan his parents had to pay because they co-signed the loan. And there was the young married couple who have to re-pay $1,700.00 a month for the next twenty five years and bankruptcy laws will not take it away.

It is hard imagining any country moving forward with huge stock piles of diamonds in the rough doing nothing save spending precious time tugging to free themselves of their ball and chains. Once the students get a bail-out from their student loans, and I hope they do, and when they start doing their thing in various communities, and I know they will, I have no doubt other diamonds will self polish at the lower levels of our educational system. I have a dream.

Is Penn State “abusing” its football players?

In my opinion, the football team is in mourning for a close and beloved family member.

You do not ask mourners to pretend their family member has not died nor do you ask them to continue activities as if nothing has happened. In other words, you should not be un-sympathetic to a mourners' needs to have a grieving period.

The ill-advised decision to have the football players play a game last Saturday was made by the same greedy and highly influential cabal instrumental in keeping the Jerry Sandusky rapes out of the media for years.

The football players are being raped as their anonymous John and benefactor continues to rake in huge profits. Is there really no rest for the weary?

Last Saturday may have been the hardest day many players on the Penn State football team ever had to endure. Sad.

Langston Hughes and my dilemma

I am reading “The Big Sea” written by Mr. Hughes and published when he was 38 years old in 1940. I am now on page 204. I am a very slow reader.

Here is my dilemma:
Mr. Hughes went to Columbia University in New York City for one semester. He writes a letter to his father:

So I wrote him and told him I was going to quit college and go to work on my own, and that he needn’t send me any more money. He didn’t. He didn’t ever write again. Pg. 85

Mr. Hughes went traveling and upon his return to America, he writes on pg. 201:

Ten months before, I had got to Paris with seven dollars, I had been in France, Italy, and Spain. And after the Grand Tour of the Mediterranean, I came home with a quarter, so my first European trip cost me exactly six dollars and seventy five cents!

Mr. Hughes wanted to attend Howard University upon his return to America. Irregardless of the fact he had a relative who was a Congressman, John M. Langston who was later to become the first dean of the Howard University Law School, he could not get a scholarship to attend Howard.

I wanted to study sociology and history and psychology…I spoke with Dean Kelly Miller about the possibility of trying a scholarship at Howard…I spoke with Dr. Alan Locke, who said my poems were about to appear in the New Negro issue of the Survey Graphic…But he didn’t have any scholarship up his sleeve, either. Pg. 204.

The inability of Mr. Hughes to get a scholarship to go to Howard University is of great curious to me. I am baffled! It does not make sense. As I continue reading his autobiography, I am hoping Mr. Hughes has better luck regarding his educational ambitions. At this time, I am forcing myself to take the position, “Everything happens for the best”.

Kudos to Fox News talk show host Neil Cavuto for showing us once again that Republicans recognize and respect the dignity and worthiness of us Blacks.

Mr. Cavuto had an interview with Presidential candidate Herman Cain on Friday and it was wonderful. Mr. Cain was able to tell his story regarding the sex scandal he has been saddled with without rude and callous interruptions or bias innuendos he would surely have gotten from a non-Republican host. Most Democratic TV personalities do not understand the dignity Black religious grandfathers have and how they express themselves.

In my opinion, the economic thunder was taken away from Mr. Bennett when the National Restaurant Association waved the confidentially clause for his client who accused Presidential candidate Herman Cain of sexual mis-conduct. The accuser may now speak freely and I am sure, amongst many things, she has issues with the way Politico reported the story and how it has impacted her life these many years later. I note the accuser saying that she does not want to be another Anita Hill rather than another Jennifer Flowers.

Top donors to Mr. Cains’ campaign will find ways to get answers to the allegations. It is now common knowledge the allegations will no longer be anonymously confined to “He said, she said”. The stakes are too high and no one wants to see our next President chocking Chancellor Angela Merkel again or being accused of getting stress releasing blow jobs (plural) in the Oval Office by a subordinate.

Politico forced Cain into a poker game with them

In my opinion, members of the National Restaurant Association know how to play poker and they know how to play it very well. It is my understanding the association became a very lucrative D.C. lobbying firm after hiring Mr. Herman Cain as their CEO. There had to be hard and fast negotiations securing contracts from famous restaurant chains and Mr. Cain was the man who pulled it off.

Politico is writing (discovering) information that should have been in its original ‘hit’ piece directed toward Mr. Cain. They are now writing articles on the fly, playing “catch-up” if you will. They are clumsily playing their poker hand as amateurs and are about to lose their drawers in the process. I understand there is a law suit soon to be filed against them. They did not have their ducks in a row and now have to pay the price. When jumping out on the world stage in todays' society, you have to clearly know what you are doing.

I don’t know a thing about playing poker but the opening statement in this Youtube video, “How to play poker”, confirms to me Mr. Cain knows how to play the game better than Politico. In the opening statement on the video, the moderator speaks:

Please note “In God we trust” is the national motto. “In vetting we trust” is the political motto. They are two different cans of worms.

MSNBC political commentator Richard Wolffe tells us, to paraphrase, that vetting is a system designed to finding out how well you deal with a crisis. Lying, cheating and back-stabbing are but a few components of the vetting system. If you understand even that much, then you can structure and make appropriate decisions as needed. It would be a good start. And no dis-respect but if there is a book titled, “Mephistopheles for dummies,” read it and remember the words of Pres. Truman, “If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog”.

I would suspect a woman looking for a sugar-daddy would find a successful, wealthy, attractive, mature, non-smoker, non-drinker, church going family man who brags about his over thirty years marriage to the same woman a good catch.

1. It is my understanding Rick Perry has a lot of campaign money that MSM is tapping into. All whores and their Johns have their territory they work within.

3. Re:Mitt Romney. It is MSM telling us we will not vote for a Mormon. I have yet to see national polls verifying what they are propagating.

4. Re: Herman Cain. It is the dependable, ever energetic and active negroes in the barrel who have propagated and condoned racist tones directed towards his campaign. These are the now amusing “…house negroes” Malcolm X told us about.

Most of these house negroes have now become edge-u-muh-cated; some of them have even become (ahem) teachers and, Lord have mercy, college professors. I suspect they have car notes and mortgage payments like the rest of us now that they are off the Plantation, thanks to the blood of brave Black warriors and little Black children.

It’s so nice seeing Dr. Cornell West and Dr. Eric Dyson et al., on television. Such a thrill seeing how far we Blacks have progressed since Dr. Carter G. Woodson wrote his 1933 thesis, “Mis-education of the negro”. They would do him proud with all their fancy fast talking and using big words and stuff….

The Presidents’ pen reduced to signing “Executive Orders”

I can not join the chorus in singing “Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee” as the President vows to circumvent wishes of his “do nothing Congress”.

Thanks to the non-support he gets from members of his own Democratic Party and total blockage of his bills by the entire Republican Party, the President has been reduced to promises of an endless barrage of *Executive Orders.

In my opinion, nothing will change after the 2012 elections. Whether there are more Democrats or more Republicans elected, Democrats will continue their various obstructions to passing any of the Presidents’ bills and Republicans will continue being Republicans, hence, more Executive Orders.

It is my understanding the U.S. Supreme Court does not entertain legislation passed by Congress and always end up sending them back to the lower courts.

It is also my understanding Executive Orders can not be as embracing as a bill passed by Congress. The question would therefore arise as to their Constitutionality.

I think it is safe to conclude since Executive Orders are not passed by Congress and may not be Constitutional, the U.S. Supreme Court could conduct hearings on ensuing cases and make a ruling.

When Bill Kristol wrote that Occupy Wall Street protesters were anti-Semitic, it did not make sense to me so after all these years, I decided to find the definition. I googled “anti-Semitic” and got this definition from the site of the Anti-defamation league (ADL). I understand in some countries you can go to jail for being anti-Semitic. I am also mindful about a month ago a man in France was fined for being anti-Semitic. The courts found him guilty. I think he was an actor.

The belief or behavior hostile toward Jews just because they are Jewish. It may take the form of religious teachings that proclaim the inferiority of Jews, for instance, or political efforts to isolate, oppress, or otherwise injure them. It may also include prejudiced or stereotyped views about Jews.

Do Republicans shun lobbyist?

I am hearing all the time that lobbyist are running Washington. I hear about the vast amounts of money they are spending influencing members of Congress and their staff. I am hearing there are more lobbying groups in Washington then there are the 535 members in the entire Congress. On one occasion or two, I have heard lobbyist in Washington wield more money then the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of some countries.

When the President proposes a bill and Republicans say it is Dead on Arrival (DOA), I can not see lobbyist who favor passage of the bill wasting time going to the offices of a Republican. It would not make sense if they do. The Republican leadership will have already publicly pronounced the bill DOA.

And then there are the few Democrats who say they want to support the Presidents' bill but vote against it with Republicans.

Does this mean lobbyist un-favorable to the Presidents' bill have paid successful visits to the offices of those few Democrats? Are lobbyist pounding and knocking down their doors armed with fistful of money to influence their votes? Is this a behind closed doors “What’s in it for me?” thing with Democrats? Is this the reason Democrats do not vote as a block as do Republicans? Are there more wealthy Democrats than Republicans or do they get sent back to Congress more often?

In other words, is the public being lied to as to the influence of lobbyist in Washington or does it simply boil down to party leadership? Color me confused.

The 50-50 vote came in relation to a motion to simply take up the bill and fell well short of the 60 needed to break a filibuster. Democrats Ben Nelson of Nebraska, Mark Pryor of Arkansas and Independent Joe Lieberman of Connecticut broke with Obama on the vote. Two Democrats who voted with the president, Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Jon Tester of Montana, however, said they couldn't support the underlying Obama plan unless it's changed.

"For the second time in two weeks, every single Republican in the United States Senate has chosen to obstruct a bill that would create jobs and get our economy going again," Obama said in a statement after the vote. "Every American deserves an explanation as to why Republicans refuse to step up to the plate and do what's necessary to create jobs and grow the economy right now."

A funny thing happened on the way to the American Dream

We Blacks got in the way.

I heard many years ago that America was never supposed to be a non-white country. The rationale was to bring Blacks here to clear a country, build a nation and send us back home to Africa.

To have an all white nation was tried in Australia, Apartheid South Africa and more recently, in Israel with each country replete with sky-scrapers of horror stories.

In America, to put people of all walks of life to work so all of them can enjoy a full quality of life is contrary to the nerve conductors in the brains of our collective Oligarchy and their hand picked minions. The fallacious paths of their nerve conductors will not and can not change: The notion that America will somehow become a white country keeps them in a fallacious rapture. The song says, “You have to be carefully taught to love and hate”.

The America Oligarchy has been carefully taught. We see evidence of it each and every day on our television, in books we read, in our newspapers and hear re-enforcements of equal strength on our radios 24/7. “Our country would be so much better if you Blacks(sp) were not here” is their creed and we whites would be so much happier.

In America of today, we all know too well the results of Blacks beating their chest with cries to the Oligarchy, “Give me liberty or give me death”. The Oligarchy will gladly accommodate us with justifiable death.

I have yet to hear Pres. Obama or any member of his administration telling us why we can not have a Marshal Plan here in America or a second version of the CCC camps which was the brainchild of the FDR administration. Blueprints are there. Testimonies are there. There would be no need to re-invent the wheel and no need to conceive and develop positive ideas when trying to put people to work. It was successful before. Find the blueprints, dust them off and use them.

What do we get? We get a complicated 150 page doom-laden document from the President masquerading as a bill to get Americans back to work.

In my most fervent opinion and due to nerve conductors of the Oligarchy, America will never be a country again wherein all can pursue and enjoy the American dream in comfort.

I am mindful Bill Krystol, founder of The Weekly Standard has already pronounced the wedge that Occupy Wall Street is an anti-Semitic movement. What’s next?

We would have to be closely associated with the neve centers of Tim Geithner et al to really understand why Elizabeth Warren did not get chairmanship of the newly form citizens’ advocacy agency. I do believe there is a relationship between that chairmanship and jobs for the masses. All roads lead to Wall Street.

Who will be Wall Streets’ sacrificial lamb?

One may be perfectly correct in thinking bosses of Wall Street are shaking in their boots while hiding in office closets, under desks and behind skirts of their secretaries as Occupy Wall Street protesters gain world wide momentum. Their fears are justified.

If history is correct in repeatedly telling us there is a law of the jungle and only the strongest survive, we are soon to see more than a few Wall Street barons thrown to the lions.

In my opinion, it is un-natural to further protect them. There is that saying of seeing the handwriting on the wall coupled with the laws of self preservation.

There may already be secret talks with Eric Holder who is following up on various ‘anonymous’ tips.

In this present politically and economically dysfunctional environment, all roads lead to Wall Street. We’ll see.

Don Lemon, a Black guy and a White guy

Yesterday, CNN anchor Don Lemon had as his guest a Black Guy and a White Guy discussing U.S. President aspirant Herman Cain.

I say Black Guy (BG) and White Guy( WG) because in the old days you would see the names of the person talking staying on the screen for a long time. In the TV world of today, that practice is all too rare and in many cases, gone with the wind.

BG was expressing his feelings as to why he is finding Mr. Cain an embarrassment and WG was disagreeing that Mr. Cain is a buffoon due to the fact he has held CEO positions in the private sector and that he has literally pulled himself up by his boot-straps to become a wealthy man and is presently running for the Presidency of the United States of America.

BG didn’t want to hear any parts of the positive. He was now trapped in what could be called his Crabs in a Barrel Syndrome. Once he realized where he was as articulated by WG, he may have wanted to get out of his reverie but lacked the appropriate skills: Too late! WG was already over the finish-line and Mr. Lemon concluded the interview.

What touched me so much about the exchange between the two of them was the role reversal. It was WG extolling the virtues and worthiness of a Black man while BG was doing the opposite. It was not difficult to visualize why white Republicans voted for passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and members of the Democratic party did not think we Blacks were ready to have full citizenship. The exchange between BG and WG was, to me, very moving and very personal.

My world is not going to come tumbling down because of anything Mr. Cain says. He has his views of life and I have mine. If he feels a close affinity to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as he articulates, why in hell should I care?

The movement Occupy Wall Street has gone world-wide. In my opinion, prosecution and jail time for the Wall Street Banksters would be the only mechanisms that could be used to quail escalating disturbances.

It there is one thing irritating to most people it is an un-punished crime. It both angers and eats at the victim of the crime like a terminal cancer.

Additionally, it is said a crime not only effects the victim but also the victims' family and the whole community. I would imagine doctors, mental health workers and ethical prosecutors know the feelings of crime victims all too well.

Sources say former Secretary of State Colin Powell and former Republican Committee Chair Michael Steele were placed under house arrest shortly after noon today.

For fears of being a flight risk, their passports have been confiscated, airlines have been alerted and armed guards have been assigned surrounding their properties.

Sources say un-authorized sources have told them both Powell and Steele have been placed under house arrest due to the fact times are critical and desperate and they are only “suggesting” for Powell and Steele to run for the office of President of the United States of America.

Further, other un-identified sources have confirmed Powell and Steele will remain guest of the state until they have signed declarations to campaign for and actively seek the nomination for the Presidency. The signed declarations are to be in the hands of the ruling hierarchy of the Republican Party no later than noon tomorrow and there is a messenger with CIA, FBI and local police clearance available for the fastest possible delivery with police and helicopter escort.

“One of them could definitely beat Obama” said one source. “We have a winner here with Powell and/or Steele” echoed a pale voice from behind a partially opened office door. “It‘s that Cain thing!” shouted a loud voice from somewhere else behind the partially opened office door.

We are told lawyers for Powell and Steele are occupied having a hissy fit and could not be contacted for comments. Also noted draperies have been drawn on their K Street office windows.

Two mud wrestlers Vs. He who walks on water

During the ‘08 Presidential Primaries, I am mindful of a whole collection of brilliant cartoons depicting Senator Obama walking on water. They were hilarious as only our most brilliant cartoonist could capture and I would not be surprised if many of them are not already collectors’ items.
Looking at the cartoons made me laugh so hard that many times I remembered not laughing so hard since the original shows of Saturday Night Live.

I am not a sports fan so watching mud wrestlers Rick Perry and Mitt Romney do their thing is personally of no interest to me. However, the time will come to past in 2012 when one of the mud wrestlers will have to confront “Him” who walks on water. I am torn between the words ‘Blasphemy’ and ‘Godforsaken’.

Kudos to members of Occupy Wall Street for rejecting any and all efforts to avoid the land mines of identifying with either political party. The votes on the upcoming Jobs’ Bill will validate their decision. Already, there are very creative minds hard at work with efforts to discredit their movement by any means necessary.

There are killers on our police forces; people who just like and want to kill. Civil Rights Worker Bob Law told us years ago on WOL am radio that killer policeman do not care whom they kill but one thing they know for sure is they can almost always get away with killing Blacks. The movement must never forget they are messin’ wif the voracious mind-set of Wall Street who consider many of us their disposable minions.

Obama gets to sit on the pot a little longer

Thanks to a new laxative called “Confidence men,” a creation from the laboratories of Ron Suskind, the President has overcome some of the various obstructions in his bowels.

We were worried! Not a little worried but heap-big worried! We prayed the President wasn’t permanently afflicted with what is commonly known as ‘locked bowels’. There are many attributes to locked bowels and for sure, the President is not immune. There is no vaccine and we understand you can die from it. What a relief for the President and for us we found the laxative “Confidence men”. The President even looks better now that obstructions in his bowels have begun to be eliminated.

This is truly the Presidents’ second victory in life since the day he was born. Welcome to another phase of life, Mr. President!

“…the pot is at your pleasure, Mr. President, you're doing fine, sir, just fine and now, just as a precaution, we want to give you a little booster dosage of a laxative called ‘Occupy Wall Street’”.

Sen. Harry Reid (also) shuns President

After hearing many discussions regarding the book “Confidence Men” by Ron Suskind, it has become common knowledge members of the Presidents’ own party do not give a rats’ ass about him.

How ridiculous it makes the President look screaming “Pass the jobs’ bill!” at the top of his lungs while little weasel Harry Reid is hiding in the Senate cloakroom doubled-up with the bill tightly clutched to his chest, refusing to bring it onto the Senate floor.

Sen. Reid is also tightly clutching HR 2587. This is the bill passed last month by the House regarding the National Labor Relations Board and the Boeing plant moving to South Carolina.

Good ol’ Harry has to be well on his way to becoming a very wealthy man at the expense of the President and the American people. (It’s that money trail thing)

Mr. Reid has strange concepts regarding the democratic process and, in my opinion, makes the actions of *Benedict Arnold appear benign.

Occupy Wall Street demonstrators write new U.S. Constitution

I can not see better energies spent by demonstrators of Occupy Wall Street than protesting during the day and writing a new U.S. Constitution in the evening, even if they are in jail. I am mindful of “Letters from a Birmingham jail” by Rev. Martin Luther King. I read somewhere the demonstrators are vowing they are in it for the long haul.

In my opinion, such a project would flush out all people of ill-will. Additionally, such a project would propel serious focuses onto the golden years of the young demonstrators as well as the future of their children and grandchildren.

Since we are a few years into the 21st century and it is an 18th century construct that has brought the youthful demonstrators to this pail, they should go after the real old, out-dated and now thoroughly corrupted culprit, the U.S. Constitution.

Irreparable damage has been done to the Tea Party movement due to racist posters arriving on the scene at their gatherings and marches. In my opinion, some chapters have been since hijacked or formed by outright racists to dis-credit the movement.

I am mindful of recent accounts in the MSM saying that Libyan citizens are now segregating themselves from Libyans of darker skin. I remember when citizens of Iraq begged members of the press to stop referring to them as three separated groups of Iraqi citizens. They would say, “We are all Iraqis. Please don’t do this to us”. I remember when certain chapters of TeaBaggers said they will not tolerate racist signs/posters at their marches and rallies.

In my opinion, if you want to fuck-up any march and turn off large numbers of people, have someone carry a “Nazi” or “Nigger” poster in any form. In todays’ society as in the past, it is classic “Divide and conquer” and it works everytime. Such situations are full strength opium for MSM now patiently sitting and waiting for its fix re: Occupy Wall Street.

I fully understand and appreciate the concerns of Dkos diarist War On Error but I honestly can not put my finger on why his/her diary has inspired my post.

Finally, I do not know why our Black marches did not raise the concerns articulated in this post. Rev. Al may know.

Wall Street does not play. Wall Street is unlike Bull Connor of the Civil Rights Movement or Pentagon War Mongers of the Viet Nam era. Wall Street will literally kill you to protect its interest. What they did to Elizabeth Warren is but a drop in the bucket as to their influences. They said Ms. Warren would not get Senate confirmation if Pres. Obama nominated her to head an advocacy agency.

If you were Wall Street and if your objective is world domination, you would consider a handful of demonstrators protesting outside of your U.S. headquarters a mere nuisances that go with the territory, even if Michael Moore is one of them; your pipers will take care of them.

In my opinion, the Wall Street demonstrators are analogous to the Luigi Pirandello play, “Six characters in search of an author”.

Act I
The play begins with an acting company preparing to rehearse a play, incidentally one of Pirandello's own (The Rules of the Game). As the rehearsal is about to begin the play is unexpectedly interrupted by the arrival of six strange people. The Director of the play, furious at the interruption, demands an explanation. The Father reveals themselves as unfinished characters in search of an author to finish their story. The Director initially believes them to be mad, but as they begin to argue amongst themselves and reveal details of their story he begins to listen. While he isn't an author, the Director agrees to stage their story despite the disbelief amongst the jeering actors..

I read and agree with an account saying that, metaphorically, exposed boobs, cut-offs and hippie pony tails are not going to help the objectives of the demonstrators, whatever they may be. After they nail down their objectives, I would like to suggest soliciting a few chapters of authentic TeaBaggers to come to New York to help with the demonstrations. Just a suggestion. The President and his images of the CBC

Last night, the President was keynote speaker at the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC)Foundation Gala and everyone is all *aflutter as to the jest of his speech.

In my opinion, the President of the United States was publicly venting his feelings and interpretations as to how the CBC appears to him and to some it may have come off as a Black on Black crime but a closer look is in order.

The speech was a motivational speech much like the ones we old Black teachers use to give to our Black students in segregated schools or like speeches given later on to early Civil Rights Workers by preachers and other Black leaders.

Many members of the CBC grew up in environments wherein we were exposed to such speeches at any given time and I think the President, rightly or wrongly, was saying, “Look here, ya’ll, it’s time to wake up! It’s a new world. Thoughts are different, people are different and people articulate themselves differently. Stop worrying about the TeaBaggers or what somebody else is doing and put on your thinking caps! You can do better. I know you can. Right now, this is your finest hour. It won't get any better for you to strut your stuff. Take advantage of it. The old spiritual says, “Rise! Shine! Show God your glory!” And with all this new technology around you, use it. Write more books, get on the Sunday shows more often and for Gods' sake, know what you are talking about. If you don't speak well, and you know who you are, then shell out the money to pay for a good speech writer. Start foundations in your home towns and invite me. I’ll come. You still live in the past. Times have changed! Believe me when I tell you it took more than your prayers to get me to where I am today. If you only knew. I tell you this because I want you to wake up and grow up, dammit! I need you!”
Below is an excerpt from what the President actually said during his speech:

So I don't know about you, CBC, but the future rewards those who press on. (Applause.) With patient and firm determination, I am going to press on for jobs. (Applause.) You finally learn where babies come from

It’s not so bad knowing who really runs this country and I think it is safe to say the role of the Presidency is that of a figurehead: An ornament, an instrument for ceremonial duties and at times, a scapegoat, if you will.

I am learning the buck no longer stops with the Presidency. I think Pres. Eisenhower alerted us when he highlighted concerns we citizens should have regarding the military industrial complex.

There were two instances that occurred last week alerting me to the ‘figurehead’ office of the President. First there was the book by Ron Suskind revealing how the wishes of the President could be ignored or ‘slow walked’ and then there was the Presidents’ continued threat to veto a request by the Palestinians for statehood.

There were people making the President cross his heart and hope to die that he would veto any vote for statehood for the Palestinians backed by a bill by *Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen designed to cut off specific aid to them if they were to proceed in their efforts to get statehood. Co-sponsors of the bill are both Democrats and Republicans.

From the reviews of the latest book by **Ron Suskind, I learned the bucks stops with Bernanke, Geithner and Poulsin, who are also the people who would not allow the President to hire peoples’ advocate Elizabeth Warren. The same thing happened when “W” wanted to put Harriett Miers on the U.S. Supreme Court: There were loud cries of opposition from Bill Kristal and Charles Krauthammer.

I am tired of Main Street Media not calling out the individuals and heads of agencies for decisions they have made instead of attributing everything to the President but then, that is the purpose of having a figurehead. I guess I just have to live with it. It is what it is. (Sigh)

Rick Perrys’ “Little Shop of Horror”

In my opinion, there was not a more vivid look-see into the character of Mr. Perry as occurred on Sept. 20, 2011.

Mr. Perry made a speech to Jewish leaders in New York city wherein he plopped himself squarely into the middle of delicate negotiations the President was having regarding the Palestinians seeking state hood.

The un-timely and scathing criticisms of the President and his administration delivered by Mr. Perry did not go un-noticed as reviewed on the Morning Joe show on Sept. 21st.

Serious and noteworthy links regarding Mr. Perrys’ temperament and his ability to run a country are being forged more than before. His views on Social Security, immigration, vaccinations of little girls, the Israel/Palestinian situation and his views on the death penalty are, taken in totality, of prime concerns.

In my opinion, Mr. Perry delivered a 'knock out punch' unto himself on Sept. 20th. We just watched. (Smile)

I have concluded many politicians, political pundits and members of the press simply do not know what they are talking about.

They have become experts at dishing out BS by the shovels-full. It’s amazing how much they get paid to do so and how many of’em there are; they are like dog shit, that is, they are everywhere.

At the present time, I am trying to understand the voting today that may prompt another government shut-down. I am trying to find out why we are now at this precipice and until I hear - or read- that “Mary had a little lamb,” I feel I can not make up my own mind as to who is at fault with all the associated political crap!

Typical of what the BS’er write are long sentences froth with words not directly associated with the subject matter and with pitiful efforts to blame one party or the other for whatever reason therefore ending up with articles so ill-written and worthless, their own garbage cans would be embarrassed to be associated with them.

The lion that roared

Once upon a time, there was a lion that eventually roared. He was a tall, wimpy, skinny lion. There were whispers about him throughout the kingdom. All the people he was supposed to protect were worried that he would not warn them and protect them when danger would come. They did not think he had the strength and were always nervous when they heard him trying to roar hiding behind a tree or in a tall thicket of grass.

On one beautiful day in September, the lion roared! He roared so loudly and so very hard he shook everything around for miles. Peopled feared a hurricane or something even worst. The lion was angry. He was angry because he wanted to have jobs and lower taxes for all of the people he was to protect. There was singing and dancing all around. The music was loud and joyous. The people had never heard the lion roar before and showed their appreciation.

Small groups of maiden girls and little boys sang Hosannas and dogs barked and women began swooning into the arms of their joyous husbands amongst waving flags and colorful banners.

Just as suddenly as it began, celebrations came to a screeching halt. Whispers began again. Shades were drawn and windows were covered. The village square would be empty again when the lion came around and even the once friendly dogs would run and hide.

The word was the mighty lion now had his foot in his mouth. For some reason strange to his people, the lion had put his foot in his mouth and it had gotten stuck deep down in his throat. It was even stranger to them seeing a lion trying to walk with his foot in his mouth. The lion had said he would veto any motion to let their Palestinians friends have a state of their own. Everybody waited to see if their protector would ever roar again. They wondered if he would ever make them feel safe again as he did regarding their taxes and jobs. They waited, and waited…..

Ron Suskind wrote a book

Book: Confidence Men: Wall Street, Washington, and the Education of a President. Published by Harper

In my opinion, this book is not a, “..child, did you hear..” kind of book. I think the book was written by a gentleman for one particular gentleman, the President.

Further, I look at the book as a personal evaluation of the President as one would receive a jobs’ evaluation from his boss or supervisor: “Job evaluation is the systematic process of ranking jobs within an organization based on the responsibilities and tasks required by the position.”

There are only two people who can un-questionably attest to the validity of this book: Ron Suskind and the President. If the President knows the book is packed full of exaggerations and lies, so be it. If the President feels the author of the book was only going for sensationalism to sell his book, so be it. However and above all, if the President feels the book is not a heart-felt attempt to help him save his Presidency, all efforts of the author will have been for naught. So be it.

Is Sen. Reid obstructing democracy?

I am going to delude myself believing I know what I am talking about when I say Sen. Harry Reid is not following the U.S. Constitution when he does not bring a bill to the Senate floor after it has passed in the House.

On Thursday, I spent some quality time watching debates on the House floor regarding HR 2587.

HR 2587 is a bill challenging the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in its attempts to thwart Boeing from opening and moving parts of its company to South Carolina.

I have heard from Republicans and the President himself that bills passed in the House lie languishing on backroom tables in the Senate due to the fact Senate Majority Speaker, Harry Reid, will not bring them to the floor either for discussion or a vote. In my opinion, this is not democratic and the word ‘nefarious’ comes to mind.

This is just another red flag I will be contending with in November of next year. If Mr. Reid feels he is doing his job, I suggest he find another one. I have felt this way about him for a long time.

Bottom line and in my opinion, the conduct of Mr. Reid does not help the President nor the democratic process we all say we are so proud of and we even result to raiding our treasury and murdering citizens in other countries to promote it.

Does the President long for Rev. Jeremiah Wright?

By way of projecting, I would miss the friendship of a minister whom I have known for over twenty years. I would miss discussing past sermons and stories and, yes, the church gossip we could share now that I am President of the United States of America.

Surely I would miss contacts with the man who performed the marriage ceremony between me and my wife, the man who christened my children and intimately knew many of my family members and friends as well as those of my wife.

Such a person as Rev. Wright would be missed in my life. A person who was, to me, not only a deserving father figure but also a good friend and confidant.

Your beloved mother and grand-mother die before seeing you reach the pentacle of your success. Your wife is cruelty characterized by your nemesis and you, you have fears for the well being of your two daughters due to the fact you know future press and your nemesis will also not be kind to them.

You are not privy to friendships with leading Black political minds of today. You are not allowed to have friendships with a Frederick Douglas or a Martin Luther King and you must continue abandoning thoughts of having your half-brothers and sisters and other relatives visit you under any circumstances or for any occasion either at the White House or any other place. There are no family reunions you could attend. Your history and emotional growth has been severed like an umbilical cord.

You have systematically and with diabolical calculations been reduced to having only your private memories and fantasies. You do the best you can to keep going on. You are the true modern day highly intelligent Negro slave. There has been many of us. There are many of us. That is sad, so very sad.

From “You lie!” 2009 to Bob Turner 2011

In the beginning, the President was giving a live speech to the joint members of Congress in December, 2009. Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) yelled out “You lie!” The President of the United States of America did nothing. Members of his administration said or did nothing. In my opinion, a lot of credibility was instantly lost for the President and his administration.

It is hard to respect a man who allows another man to call him a liar to his face. In an odd sort of way, giving no response is un-natural. For your friends in high places to not come to your aid is also un-natural and there have been shades of consequences for all.

“You lie!” being yelled at the President of the United Stats does not say nice things all around. It was a national embarrassment. Personally, I feel if you don’t defend yourself, what’s in it for me if I stick my neck out for you?

An irony is Republican Mark Amodei from Nevada won in this special election from a district that has never sent a Democratic candidate to the House and Republican Bob Turner won in a district that has never sent a Republican to the House.

Markos has gotten himself in somewhat of a pickle with Blacks who frequent and contribute to his website, Daily Kos.

However frustrated he may be, I would suggest he not throw his baby out with the bath water thereby throwing a whole lot of hard work and financial resources down the drain.

I would suggest Markos consider and really reflect how difficult it is dealing with racism in America. I suggest having a dinner party to discuss it. And at that time, I would suggest discussing with his various guest to take a look-see at nefarious behaviors of persons perpetuating racism on his website.

Racist always want to have hidden hands and by doing so, they can write post pretending they are Black or in the cases of I/P situations, pretending “…..their parents or grand-parents were Holocaust survivors.” and thus proceed to spew racism most vile. I see this happening a lot with people calling themselves or being labeled TeaBaggers by the press. In America, if it is not Black racism it is Jewish Anti-Semitism.

Marcos has been placed in a position he can not reveal all he knows regarding the persons he has banned from his site for fear of law suites. It is a difficult situation but to call it racism on the part of Marcos I can not go along with.

Confronting American racism is a difficult task and I can say in all honesty, I am glad I am not Markos. I wish him luck! I hope he has enough sincere and genuine friends to invite to his dinner party. He should do everything he can to save his baby DKos. If he feels he can do it without further contributions of Blacks, so be it.

9/11: A passport was found

If Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson were called in by the U.S. Government to investigate “Who-done-it?” in the 9/11 tragedy of the Twin Towers and had the following clues presented to them:

- #1. A passport of one of the hijackers found in the rubble.

- #2. No name or physical description of the hero who found the passport and turned it over to the authorities and

- #3. they are informed the body of the owner of the passport could not be found, “We tried, Mr. Holmes.”

Mr. Holmes would turn saying, “This is an easy one, Dr. Watson. (Yawn) It’s elementary, you see.”

Teaching by example

The President spoke to Congress tonight.

Now that the President has spoken to people who understood what he was talking about, it is time for him to talk to people who did not fully understand what he was talking about.

In other words, you can not talk to your students, people who you want to understand you, the same way you talk to your colleagues in the teachers’ lounge.

You can not throw words around like “deficit, adding to the deficit, tax cuts, cut spending, corporate tax rates, stimulus, payroll tax cuts, collective bargaining, free trade” etc., to neophytes.

For example, if you want beginners to know what two o’clock is, you tell them it is two o’clock when the long hand is on the twelve and the short hand is on the two. You take nothing for granted when you want people to understand you. Nothing!

Once you have told people what you mean when you use certain words, they can fully follow you. Also, they would now be placed in a position to know when somebody does not know what they are talking about or are lying to them. I think the word is "Bamboozled!" People would remember what you have said as the model.

One of my favorite parts of the early shows of Rachel Maddow was when she and Kent Jones would have a skit or something explaining a situation. A lot of learning was done during those episodes and I learned a lot. The strongest teaching tools you have is the ability to give examples by any means necessary.

In my opinion, when the President takes his Jobs’ Bill on the road to further expose it to his constituents, it would be nice if he would explain it in terms of a young adults’ first pay check using the words he used in his speech to Congress. If he could get the scenes dramatizes on stage, so much the better. I guarantee there would be gasps, tears and laughter but above all, there would be learning.

Want another example of a good teacher? Thomas (The world is flat) Freidman. How’s that? And there is Ms. Melissa Harris-Perry. Enough already?

State Law Vs. Federal Law

There is much talk today regarding having a smaller government with implications regarding States’ Rights. The general rhetoric is states will do what it can for its citizens due to the fact the state knows the situation of its citizens better than the Federal Government and should therefore be allowed to control its own destiny.

The Voting Rights Act of 1965 made me realize State Laws do not protect all of its citizens, especially the rights of Black. That is why the Federal Government had to step in to make laws regarding equal treatment of all its citizens. The same rationale prompted Brown Vs. Board of Ed. In 1954.

States’ Rights would unquestionably work well if the U.S. were a monolithic society.

What continues to bother me, however, are the un-written mixure (cacophony?) of laws that go under the radar as follow:

- I am mindful F. Lee Bailey saying his law practice was black-balled due to his defense of O. J. Simpson.

- Many years ago, Ex-Mayor Marion Berry telling us when a Black becomes Mayor of a city, large corporations abandon the city thereby eroding its tax base.

- Standards & Poor’s suggesting Republican ill will toward a Black President has put the country on poor economic footing. The erosion continues to date.

- Sports barons making modifications to games due to Black performers i.e. modifications to the basketball hoop and, in the case of Tiger Woods, lengthening some distances to get a golf ball into a hole.

- Tightening drug laws to financially enhance revenue for private prisons by arresting and sentencing mostly Blacks participants.

- Making “To kill a mockingbird” and “The diary of Anna Frank” required reading in the newly integrated schools.

- I am mindful hearing there is a movement in New Jersey to have anti-bullying laws and the schools having a mandate to implement them. I saw a representative of the initiative on C-Span this past week-end. Anti-bullying has now become the newest cottage industry vying for the American dollar and it will be members of the prison complex lending credence.

- This from CNN last week, “Michael Vick has just signed a million dollar contract. At this time last year, he was in jail.”

- The movie “The color purple” receiving no Oscar awards in any category.

During these many years since 9/11, I can not recall seeing a single Black survivor from this tragedy nor have I seen or heard from a family member of a Black deceased victim.

I do remember a controversy about a movie or documentary wherein a Black fireman was considered a hero by a survivor but the producer re-wrote history by casting a white actor to perform the heroic act.

Tea Party: A noun, a verb and Obama

It was an accident I landed on C-Span to catch the beginning of a rally for Sarah Palin this past Saturday. The event was called Tea Party of America Rally and it was in Ohio.

This would be my first time seeing an entire rally featuring Ms. Palin so I felt it was time to “edumacate” myself as to what really goes on at one of her throw-downs.

There were female singers and four guys doing the warm-ups for the rally. All of the guys were radio personalities from the Ohio area.

One guy came on stage smoking and sporting a large cigar ala Groucho Marx and after him there was a comedian who told us several times that he was a Jewish comedian and he told a few Jewish jokes.

It was raining, umbrellas were up and the audience, at that time, was thin. I was trying my best to understand what was going on when Charlie Gruschow, VP and co-founder of the rally said during his warm-up remarks, “Barack Husein Obama, what an insane name.” and went on to sing praises to Sarah Palin.

At that point and after such a long warm-up period, I felt that Sarah had decided not to participate in such a charade. I was wrong. She did come on stage and continued what I had already heard from the warm-up boys: A noun, a verb and Obama.

By this time, the audience had grown larger and it had stopped raining. The grey heads with umbrellas and lawn chairs had faded into the background and I grew weary of hearing Ms. Palins' voice and all of those unusual vocal inflections.

~The next show I saw on Saturday was one on the Koch brothers wherein I learned they have a tea party chapter called Americans for Prosperity. I remember hearing that VP Chaney also has a Tea Party chapter.

The reality has become apparent there are different chapters in the Tea Party movement just as there are different chapters of the VFW, Rotary Club and Boys Scouts of America. In my opinion, a person who makes references to the Tea Party should identify the chapter and its founder. They can’t all be the same. I learned a lot on Saturday. (Pat on the back)

Kudos to diarist *Vyan for publishing Black Perspectives on Speech-Gate on the Dkos website.

Writing about Black racism takes a ton of mainstream and non-mainstream memory, the patience of a saint and the determination of a prize fighter. To say it is an enormous task is a gross understatement. In my opinion, it is a Herculean one everytime a Black person takes pen to paper recording Black racism as he sees it. The subject is a quagmire with every word you record having the potential of becoming the Achilles Heel of your writing.

Unquestionably the election of Pres. Obama has, in many cases, brought Black racism out of the closet. The rating agency Standard and Poor’s has seen the results of Black racism and re-acted to it putting America on a wake-up call of which I have no choice but to remain optimistic.

Here we have a President, a well educated and articulate Black man in a position no one will support. The historical reasons are fears of whites being labeled “Nigger lover” and others, as in the case of White House correspondent Helen Thomas, the nebulous label of “Anti-Semitic”. I don’t see VP Biden or Hillary Clinton going to bat for the President nor do I see Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid. There is a reason and I re-interate, it is called fear.

Everyone on a work site who supports his Black colleague is suspect, and talks regarding promotions of any nature are analogous to professional suicide. There are those who tried to support the President and suffered dire consequences. This may account for the fact Blacks have not be leaders of large unions, barons on Wall Street or founders or, until recently, CEOs of mega corporations.

There have been so many Blacks treated like our President:
In recent years, there was Dr. Martin Luther (Obama) King; Medgar (Obama) Evers. There is presently Rev. Lewis (Obama) Farrakhan and Rev. Al (Obama) Sharpton and most recently, Michael (Obama) Steele.

The bottom line is America has deliberately destroyed and continues to destroy so many great Black minds. Sad.

Un-like any good secretary, Mr. Carney let his boss take the fall for lying about scheduling an ill conceived date and time for an address to Congress.

Further, un-like any good secretary, Jay Carney scheduled a three state speaking engagement for his boss to talk to people equipping him with absolutely nothing of substances to say.

And finally, in my opinion, the not so good secretary Jay Carney should be fired by a boss, any boss, who is tuned into the realities of his position.

If I were running for President of the U.S.A.

I would form a company by getting all my ducks in a row. Every news conference would be a production par excellence.

I would let voters know I have like minded highly qualified friends ready to help me run the government. So when a member of the press would ask me about arresting the Banksters and war mongers from the Bush and Obama administration, I would refer them to whomever I have chosen to be my Attorney General. The same process would be used when I am asked about jobs, taxes, home foreclosures etc.,

My slogan would be from the title of the Michael Jackson song, “We are the world!”

I would have as many members of my company accompany me to as many news conferences, town hall meetings and fund raisers as possible.

I was very impressed when “W” announced early in his campaign that Condoleezza Rice and Colin Powell would be in his cabinet. I would try with all my heart and soul to avoid springing a surprise on voters by doing what Pres. Obama did by hiring Hillary Clinton and Rahm Emanuel without giving us some advance notices during his campaign.
If I were a voter, running such a Presidential campaign would surely get my attention as it did with “W”.

And if I lose the election, it would not be due to the fact my company and I were not ready for prime time. Going this route would take a lot of planning and discipline but hey, voters want to know what makes me tick, really tick and that I’m serious about running this country as President BB!

Cheese: Munster Gerome

Munster Gerome comes under the category of “Stinky cheese”. I like stinky cheese. I fell in love with Munster Gerome little over a year ago and became frustrated when I could no longer purchase it over the internet.

I made a special trip to Whole Foods only to find they sold the last one a few days earlier, so said the clerk. I bought a package of Limburger cheese and left. It was a wasted trip into D.C. and I had not been a happy shopper.

I Later decided to go to a store closer to where I live. I had heard about Wegman’s but had never gone there before the day I went searching for my beloved Munster Gerome. No luck, but a heartbreak instead: The clerk at the expansive cheese counter told me, “America stopped importing Munster Gerome because it is not a pasteurized cheese”.

- What??

- Yes sir, all cheese made and sold in America has to be pasteurized.

- But, but it was the best cheese I ever had. Much better than Limburger or any other stinky cheese I’ve ever eaten!

- I know but that is the situation, sir. Sorry.

- I guess that’s three cheers for the French.

- Yes sir, three cheers for the French.

During our conversation, the very attentive clerk confessed to also liking stinky cheese and suggested I sample one her favorites, St. Albray. It was OK but my taste buds had already made a mile-wide leap from Limburger to Munster Gerome. What a difference a really good cheese can make in your life!

Here I now fantasize sitting on the French Rivera in straw hat with neatly arranged ascot tie and a plateful of steroid free roasted lamb before me, accompanied by a side dish of tiny white potatoes, a salad and a nice glass of French wine toasting my new love, a huge mound of un-pasteurized Munster Gerome cheese. (Gosh!)

1. Brown Vs. Board of Education
I did not get his name but I remember what he said as he was giving a lecture on C-Span this past week-end. He said that the Warren Court passed the Brown Vs. Board of Education decision and Dwight D. Eisenhower was President. I was very engaged, i.e., fascinated, to learn Chief Justice Earl Warren was a Republican appointed by Republican President Eisenhower. From that point on, I was on a mission to find out who was in control with other landmark decisions regarding Blacks with the help of Google searches.

Roger B. Taney was Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court (1836-1864). The Dread Scott decision was rendered in 1857. Taney was a Jacksonian Democrat when he became Chief Justice and Democratic Pres. Andrew Jackson appointed him.

Dred Scott v. Sandford, 60 U.S. 393 (1857), was a ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court that people of African descent brought into the United States and held as slaves (or their descendants,[2] whether or not they were slaves) were not protected by the Constitution and could never be U.S. citizens.[3] The court also held that the U.S. Congress had no authority to prohibit slavery in federal territories and that, because slaves were not citizens, they could not sue in court. Furthermore, the Court ruled that slaves, as chattels or private property, could not be taken away from their owners without due process.

In denial: What goes up keeps going up

When the price of gas goes up for the lawn maintenance man and the grocery clerk is looking for his cost of living raise, there is a problem and metaphors can abound.

I absolutely believe people should be paid for their training and expertise. Education has gotten so expensive these days and fees keep going up.

I consider myself a nice guy and a fair one. I don’t get wrapped up with a church or argue with the mailman or chase children off my lawn. The cleaning lady, when I can get one, appears to be satisfied and I'm good to my grand-children. I consider myself one of the good guys.

However, when a technician at my bank wants his cost of living raise, I find myself asking foolish questions as to why the bank has gone up on my banking fees and my debit card. I find myself embarrassing myself entertaining stupid thoughts.

I know bank computers have to be constantly monitored, and there is the matter of physical maintenance, securing firewalls, monitoring ease of use for their ATM machines and the machines not dispersing more or less than the requested amount and so forth and all the other stuff those guys have to deal with, and I know computers have to be up-dated; maybe a whole new bank of computers have to eventually be purchased and installed.

This I know! No problem! This I understand but still with all efforts at rational thinking failing me, I continue tying myself in knots with back and forth mental gymnastics and finally falling on my knees with tightly clasped hands, the bottom line is always, (sniff) “Why me, Lord, why does I have to pay more? Why dey keeps messin’ wif my little bit’ov mother fuckin’ money??”

Negroes worked on Plantations

In the political environment of today, there are those all aflutter over a statement made by Black Rep. Allen West (R-Fl).

Mr. West compared other Blacks in Congress and some in leadership positions to the white “overseer” workers on a slave plantation.

The general public has been nurtured to associate “Negro” with “Nigger” and, in my opinion, there is a world of difference between the two words. Therein lie the problem.

In public and legal accounts I have read from slave owners, Blacks were called Negroes and *Negroes working on the plantation, for whatever reason, at times referred to each other as Niggers which is a practice that continues amongst us to this day. In the Black world, there is a big difference between a Negro and a Nigger. Plantation slaves had little to no choices. I do not think Negroes on a plantation would have called Harriet Tubman a Nigger, but then…..

Cheers for Michael Steele

The slap in the face was un-mistakable when a prominent member of the Republican party urged his colleagues to dump Michael Steele as their party chairman. He said “…anyone but Michael Steele!”

Mr. Steele was party chairman of the National Republican Committee and, in my opinion, valiantly served from January 2009 to January 2011. I was very proud of him. However, the press was relentless in recording (hounding) his every move 24/7 American style.

Now that Mr. Steele has lost his chairmanship, I would be hard pressed naming his successor without a Google search. From all appearances, that position has gone by the way of high button shoes and spats. There is nothing I have seen or heard regarding what the new chairman has said or done which speaks volumes regarding the press. Suddenly, the position is irrelevant, not important, no longer of concern.

The good news is Mr. Steele has landed on his feet. He continues to articulate clear and meaningful political positions in his new position as an analyst on television channel MSNBC. I am still very proud of him. I saw him on The Rachel Maddow Show last evening.

If things were different, that same Republican “patriot” who wanted Mr. Steele booted out of his chairmanship would be the very one stroking him for a run for President in 2012. He knows Mr. Steele would be a formidable contender compared to Michele Bachman and Rick Perry but our dear patriot has issues.

I get furious when I think the media is trying to manipulate me and I feel that way now!

I have always felt Republicans, Wall Street and the Oligarchy would reward Pres. Obama for his “good work” by putting up a candidate he could easily beat with one arm tied behind his back. I have thoughts there are tacit agreements between the “powers that be” and the President that implies if they are satisfied with him for various reasons, his Presidency is safe and will not be challenged.

Further, the implications would be stated thus; even if your constituents don’t want you to remain in your position as President or have desires to entertain challengers, voters will be forced to make a choice between you and an intellectually and *educationally challenged opponent. We will do our part making sure they choose you. They will have no choice.

Enter Michele Bachman and Rick Perry and to hell with Ron Paul.

Would a “WPA 2011” program save America?

Definition: WPA=The Works Progress Administration

The is a lot of talk about putting people to work. With un-employment at 9.1 percent by some accounts, there are frequent references to Pres. FDR and The Works Progress Administration (WPA) of 1929.

I wanted to find out more about the WPA and found this amazing article referenced below. With all of the positives of the program listed in the article, I strongly suspect there is a lot of nostalgia associated with it.

I am not aware of any great novel or movie associated with the era. With such a successful program, one would think it would be captured big time in some form as a positive part of our history. There should have been a least one great romantic novel about the lives of two people meeting at one of the work sites or even a love song or two and the novel and movie, "Grapes of wrath" is a different can of worms.

As far as I know, there is nothing extolling neither the positives or negatives of the WPA period that lasted, according to the article, for eight years.

At this time, the 900 pound gorilla in the room is the question of having the program return or something like it. Somewhere along the way, the only thing I heard about the WPA program was no Blacks were in it and if unions were involved, what I heard may well be true.

It would be interesting seeing how the Obama administration is going to solve the un-employment problem facing the nation.

I hope Elizabeth Warren does not run for U.S. Senate

On the political scene of today, we are face to face with the scum of the earth! Deceit, treachery, back-stabbing, unfair censuring, you name it.

In my opinion, the report from Standard and Poor’s aptly addresses our political environment and I personally would not like to see Ms. Warren subjected to any more of it.

I have no illusions regarding my profound respect for Ms. Warren.

Ms. Warren has touched the third rail of Wall Street and its re-actions to date are timid compared to re-actions she would receive seeking a seat in the U.S. Senate. We have all witnessed the long and lethal tentacles of Wall Street.

Having Ms. Warrens’ personal life dragged through the mud is something I do not want to see and I am sure neither does her family or friends. I hope she can continue to find solace in her teaching career.

For compassionate reasons, I would not vote for Ms. Warren to be a U.S. Senator but I would vote for her being considered “A National Treasure”. I am mindful of the words of Pres. Harry Truman: “If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog.”

U.S. Trade Unions and building our infrastructure

Paraphrased: “When the government of a country wants to build a high-speed rail system, it is done.” This is what I heard Pres. Obama say several months ago.

In my opinion, he was saying countries like China do not have to deal with the politics of multiple trade unions to build meaningful infrastructure projects.

I wonder if there were trade unions involved in the building of the Great Wall of China or the pyramids in Egypt or the building of the city of Dubai? If there were trade unions, were they involved in the politics of the country or did they just mind their own business tending to the time consuming affairs of building? Were race and ethnicity a concern?

I am mindful that the re-building of the World Trade Towers has not been completed in the ten years since the beginning of its construction. I am mindful of the many calls highlighting our crumbling infrastructure and the desperate pleas for something to be done. And finally, I am mindful in the U.S., when any construction is proposed, multiple trade unions are the threads that bind; the proverbial rock and hard place.

Reid determines weapon for “Fight”

I have long been suspicious of the political moves of Sen. Harry Reid, Democratic Senate Majority Leader. In my opinion, his decisions lack the substance and clear-headed processes one would associate with such a highly visible leader of the free world.

The recently passed Debt Ceiling Bill calls for a selection of twelve members of Congress to figure out how to cut a little more than a trillion dollars from the federal budget by the end of this year. There are to be six Republicans and six Democrats and it was incumbent upon Mr. Reid to choose three of them.

Mr. Reid has chosen Patty Murray (D-Wash), Max Bacus (D-Mont) and John Kerry, (D-Mass). At this time, I have no political issues with this trio and wish them well.

However, I do wonder if the good Sen. Reid has just announced his intentions of bringing a gun or a knife to the fight. I find it curious Mr. Reid is first in announcing his chosen weapon to be interpreted by the opposition and the names of his Generals.

If would have been fun having all twelve candidates on stage being revealed by opening door number one, door number two etc., (Smile)

Ever since the downgrading of America from AAA to AA+ by Standard and Poor’s, we have gotten interpretations and opinions from the President to Donald Trump to Richard L. Trumka, AFL-CIO President to Rachel Maddow.

I am mindful of the letter we got from our daughter when she had her first Summer Camp experience. The letter was different than excerpts below but non the less, no less amusing. I Googled “Letters from Camp”.

Dear Mom: Thanks for the package you sent. I’m sending you something back. It’s the wrapper from a cough drop. The nurse gave it to me when I had an ear ache. Then I threw up. And she gave me an allergy pill. I don’t think she really knows what she’s doing.

S&P and its credibility

This past Friday evening, the credit rating agency Standard and Poor’s (S&P) downgraded the U.S. from AAA status to AA+ and serious questions have therefore been raised.

Prominent amongst the questions is due to the fact in 2007, S&P is one of the credit agencies giving generous AAA ratings to toxic asset bundles of real estate sold throughout the world. The toxic bundles nearly brought the monetary systems of the world to a state of total collapse.

And so it is, this same rating agency has downgraded us for the handling of raising our debt ceiling. Other than their sterling rationales as to the reason for the downgrading, the question we are asking is, “Why me?” Could we have had the rationales as threats or good advice minus the downgrading? What S&P has done is once again effecting monetary systems around the world to the negative.

Since we have always been told to follow the money, answers to the “Why me?” question could well be found within the monetary structure of S&P.

If on last Friday evening the monetary structure of S&P is the same as it was circa 2007, the logic of seeing red flags flying all over the place is, in my opinion, appropriate.

Have the Banksters of 2007 struck again? Is the downgrading of America another bite of the apple?

We have all learned that being above the law in America has its advantages including huge bonuses and high political positions. As the song says, “Nice work if you can get it”.

Downgraded: Will America get the BIG hint?

Last evening, the credit score of America was downgraded from AAA to AA+. The first time in our history.

“Aw, it’s not that bad” and “We still have the safest investments in the world” and “No big deal. Other countries have functioned with lower scores” and yet to come, “They hate us because we have a Black President”.

In my opinion, Standard and Poor's (S&P) is telling us to get our house in order. It is telling us to grow up with no more half-stepping. It is trying to gently nudge us into facing the realities of dealing with the world of today, the one without smoke and mirrors, the un-manipulated one. The one intolerant of American BS.

Standard and Poor's is telling us the “act” we are presenting on the world stage is no longer acceptable:

S&P said in its report issued late on Friday: "The downgrade reflects our opinion that the fiscal consolidation plan that Congress and the administration recently agreed to falls short of what, in our view, would be necessary to stabilise the government's medium-term debt dynamics.
"More broadly, the downgrade reflects our view that the effectiveness, stability, and predictability of American policymaking and political institutions have weakened at a time of ongoing fiscal and economic challenges."

- Under a floorboard

In my opinion, *Mr. Goodman has a good metaphor. In this world of global economy, there has to be the equivalence of stashing your money somewhere for safekeeping.

Picking your monster

In my opinion, in the past few years, media and media pundits have slowly encouraged us listeners to no longer dis-agree with a person due to their views but to now encounter and approach them as if they were monsters.

They are no longer people with whom we can simply dis-agree.

We are urged to de-value them as humans. We are encourage by any means necessary to give them a third eye located in the middle of their foreheads or having long, protruding shiny horns or as some giant amorphous figure dripping with green slime.

In other words, anyone we envision as being different than ourselves is therefore worthy of the most vile and contemptible treatment our imagination can conjure up. And if our vivid imaginations advance from verbal emasculation to the pronouncement of complete physical annihilation, so be it.

Throughout the most recent years, techniques for creating monsters have become a carefully crafted and nurtured art form. We can pick any person or group of people and apply the formula and have instant monsterhood. We can do it with Mormons, Muslins, homosexuals, Blacks, Republicans, Democrats and Civil Rights Workers. The list is endless.

As to issues of politics, television is the prime creator of Republican monsters wherein AM Radio limits itself to creating Democratic monsters.

Since AM Radio is lacking the important component of the visual, it picks pundits gifted with abilities to create theaters in the mind. They hire pundits who can stage issues as vivid and emotionally charged as if we were sitting in the front row of a theater on Broadway.

And finally, I am mindful how in the late 1970s FBI director Herbert Hoover told the media to never publish anything positive regarding the Black Panthers. He told them to always publish activities of the Black Panthers in a negative light. The media did dutifully comply and the results were diabolical.

And now today, on the contemporary scene and so many years later, the media has thrown into the formula outright lies and highly imaginative distortions. Media feels all is fair game in creating a monster. Civility be damned; it’s so yesterday!

U.S. Congress shrinks to Super Congress

or How to control the masses with smoke screens and mirrors.

Sen. Harry Reid said it was his idea to pass the buck of cutting the deficit onto a committee of six people. He would argue this was a good compromise.

There is a total of 535 Congressmen: 100 Senators and 435 House members and none of them, according to Mr. Reid, can do what they were elected to do i.e., make laws. No-sirree-Bob, this would take a special group of six people, three of whom he would personally select.

Aside of the insults, and perhaps relief of other like-minded members of Congress, and aside of the will of voters, Mr. Reid feels this is the best solution he could come up with for those of us “…living in the greatest country in the world”.

Mr. Reid himself would not be so bothered writing individual bills to present to Congress.

“Who, me? Sitting around writing bills? You gots’ta be out of your cotton pickin’ mind!”

To be sure, Mr. Reid would assert his idea as being Democracy at work. “Democracy at its best,” he would murmur, waving his little American flag, “We should all be proud living in a country wherein such a solution can be implemented”, he concludes.

Let’s see now, we vote in a Congress and Mr. Reid feels only six members are relevant, three of whom he would pick to write special and important laws. Whoopi, oh how lucky we are! Gosh!

David Plouffe can not dance the Washington Pretzel

David was on Meet the Press this morning and miserably failed his dance routine regarding raising the debt ceiling.

Mr. Plouffe is Chief Political Advisor to the President.

I’m seeing lots of dances today from politicians and pundits. They are all doing their dances. I’m seeing the “Dance of the Bagel”, the “Hoe Down” and a lot of other creative shit I don’t know what it is. Basically, they are just fanning the air by whatever means necessary. Lots of dust flying.

So far today, the most impressive dance I have seen was performed by Amy Kreger on C-Span. Amy is a representative of the Tea Party Express and in my opinion, gave an elegant rendition of a dance called, “Apple Pie”. That dance bares watching and it appears not too difficult to learn.

At this time and in my opinion, if you plan to stay in Washington, D.C., and if you do not learn “The Washington Pretzel”, don’t unpack your bags! And if you are really serious about staying here, look up the preeminent political dance master, Madeline Albright. Can’t hurt.
